I haven't heard back from Reyna recently, I think there is a new WC at the Del Mar. I heard back from Karla Tejeda.

I email the main wedding address - [weddings.paraiso@iberostar.com.mx]

Hope that helps.

I have never been to Cabo, let alone a Dreams property, so I really can't comment on the comparison, perhaps Trip advisor.com will help you a little bit.

But my opinion, I LOVE Iberostars, I have visited them 6 times thus far. =)

It would be advised if you didn't fax/email them all your information regarding reserving a date; to negotiate with them before you start booking and reserving rooms. (we did all the negotiating before booking or reserving a date and there was some wiggle room because they wanted our business). But from the sounds of it you already booked rooms so that is out of the question. Basically, they have you by the gonads and there isn't to much for negotiating now that everything is booked. You can however look into outside vendors for more economical pricing and better quality (I recommend this and we did this and we loved the results). Wish I had a better answer for you...
yes....I guess although it seems like a great deal I'm seeing that you pay for stuff that you ALREADY pay for by being a guest. I didn't book any rooms yet- we have the date confirmed and provided our CC and other info and thats it. Our date isn't until next summer....I was hoping to get some discount based on rooms booked but not going to happen it seems!

Okay I'm back from Mexico. I have lots of details that will come later once I have time to write something up.

We met with Reyna (who is still the WC, Karla is her assistant) and she is Awesome!! Both Colin and I thought she was so sweet and answered all of our questions. The resort is beautiful and regardless of where you choose to have your ceremony/reception it will likely by wonderful!

Hope to share more soon!

Hi. We just decided on an Iberostar wedding in the Mayan Riviera. It's possible we will have around 100 guests, including a few kids, therefore the Grand is out. Given there are a number of other Iberostar hotels in the resort to choose from in that area, we need help selecting which one. Any suggestions or advice about what you get for what price between the different hotels?

Thanks,

Emily

Hi all,

I have an uncle with Celiac Disease (allergic to wheat), so he is on a Gluten free diet. The biggest worry is the cross-contamination at the buffets, but I am hoping that the chef's would be accommodating.

I know the Japanese rest. will be okay for the rehearsal because the rice is on the different stove than the veggies and meat.

But other restaurant was re concerned with. Has anyone had to deal with this and what is your suggestion. Should we come down with a translated diet restriction card or huh.gifhuh.gif?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
