Wow ... so much going on ... or is that just me feeling like the clock is turning way too fast!

Danielle ... Congrats on the baby news! So exciting! You and your pictures were beautiful!! Looks like you guys had mucho fun while you were there!

Deeken ... love the dress!! I'm venturing the strapless route, shocking, I know! My biggest dilemma is NO tan lines while we're down there the first couple days! Jay said Colin called him and asked how he was feeling and if he needed him to take him out for a coupld drinks before the big plunge! So sweet a man you have! wink.gif

Mandee ... Welcome! These girls on here are wonderfully amazing! I was so depressed and frustrated yesterday because I was having some troubles navigating on here, it was taking awhile! You'll find an abundance of information ... more then I probably will ever realize!

Bess ... Great to hear from you! So glad things went well! Have an amazing time on your new two ventures! And I second Leah, we want to hear about this leg of the trip too!

Jenn ... Thanks for the flying info & Stacy ... thanks for asking! I was jsut starting to pack up our suitcases yesterday! Actually, I was impressed with how much I was able to fit in! Now, just have to weigh away!

Working on my veil as we speak ... while I'm at work, hee hee! FI has been a great help this week! Yesterday, he booked our limo to & from airport, got the limo bus for our reception here at home, and finally agreed that using the resort photographer was not the best option ... it helps when I show him the price for an outside photographer is pretty darn close, and worth the extra cash! So, I contacted Ivan Luckie a couple weeks ago, he was available! Now, I'm waiting to hear back and hoping we can grab him up on short notice! Oh, men ... it just takes them a little longer, doesn't it??!! :)

Well gals, once again, I can't thank you enough for all your answers, and questions, none the less! You're the best ... 17 days and counting!

BtoB - you look gorgeous! The pics are great!

I have a pretty random question. I am planning a bridal shower (along with a few other girls) for a friend that is getting married this October. We are having the shower at her moms house (very big with a pool) and are going to have a caterer come in. We are planning on doing a clambake and are doing the red and white checked table clothes and going with the whole picnic / clambake theme. Any suggestions for favors? Or does anyone have a favorite website for unique types of favors? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Girls,

So I just heard from Reyna and we are going to get to meet with her when we go down for Christy's wedding =) She sent me a few pictures of flower options. I was just wondering if any of you designed your own bouquet or if you had to choose from one of their options. Also, are they pretty flexible with colors? Thanks, Leah =)

Hey Leah!!

I actually ordered the natural touch flowers from Plumeria, which I found on here!! Yep, they're fake, but I don't think they look it at all!!! I love, love, love them!! I was very hesitant to have fake flowers, but having both the destination wedding and the reception here at home (where all our bridal party will be), I didn't want to have to pay for flowers twice! Here's a pic ... haven't posted a pic in awhile, let's see if I remember ...

Oh Christy those are beautiful!!! I remember you telling me about the fake flowers at your house. Definitely something I might consider if I decide I want to keep my flowers. Not sure yet! But I LOVE your flowers so we'll see!! Thanks for posting a pic!!

HI! I thought this website had some cute favor ideas for beach themes...you could still use a beach theme for favors since your wedding is a DW.

Unique Beach Wedding Favors and Affordable Beach Theme Wedding Favor Ideas

I also found some of these same items on other sites but this site had cheaper prices!

also...if you have a chocolate shop near you (or i'm sure you could order them) You could make or buy chocolates in the shape of shells, crabs, starfish..etc..... A place near my house makes chocolates and puts 2 or 3 to a small box- very cute and edible favor.

Hello Everyone,

I am new and have a few questions:

1. How do someone of you have those cute personalized wedding templates on your posts?

2. Did any of you do boarding pass invitations?

3. Did any of you do the itinerary books for the wedding guests while at the resort?

These are ideas I have but would like some help or advice from those of you who are experienced. I am looking at your pictures and they are gorgeous ladies. Thank you for your help.

I got my monogram from: Allurements by Rebecca
She has a thread on the site also!

I love the idea of the boarding pass, but we are inviting over 200 people because that's how many people are on the list for the AHR, so I am doing something cheaper and easier than the boarding pass- but I don't know what. Something simple.

I am not doing itinerary books because I only plan to have a 'rehearsal' dinner and of course the wedding and dinner...so I am going to do a simple welcome letter to have delivered to the guests rooms to inform them of the time and location of those events. Many people here have done elaborate itineraries and great brochures, etc.... I think its great but I'm not going to do it personally. Also I want people to feel like its their vacation and they can spend their time at their leisure! There are lots of ideas on here though for boarding passes and the itineraries!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
