I had this same exact question' date=' does anyone know if I cna just pay everything with a Credit card? The entire wedding, cocktail party, etc? I think the DJ needs to be in cash. What about the hair services?QUOTE']

We charged all of our wedding expenses to our credit card, including all of the spa services that we used. They just add any spa services to your room bill. They are pretty eager to get their money for the wedding. They want you to pay on the day of your wedding. After the meeting with the WC where you make all of your final decisions about flowers, etc. they will provide you with a complete list detailing the amount for you to confirm before you go to pay.

When they charge your credit card it is all done in Pesos and is coverted by your credit card company. Also, the resort does not cash US travellers cheques for US cash, they will only give you Pesos which was a pain in the a**. For that reason I would encourage taking more cash than travellers cheques (although you can exchange for US in Playa del Carmen). We ended up getting stuck with a bunch of US travellers cheques.

Hope this helps you out! Let me know if I can answer anything else.

The items that must be paid in cash are the DJ, the musicians if you're hiring some, and the blood test. Everything else except the $300 fee to the photo shop for not using them is charged to your room in pesos as ryan's girl mentions above. The spa fee can also be charged to your room. The fee to the photo shop can be paid by credit card.

Have you had any problems with them allowing everyone to eat at one of these scheduled events even if they didn't have enough vouchers? Please let me know what happened and how you worked it out. Thanks!
I wrote this earlier and didn't see where anyone responded so I figured I would give it another whirl in case there are any takers..... how can we include guests who don't have enough meal vouchers for all of the planned dinners? Are they strict or is there a price per person that we can pay if they aren't eating on a voucher? Any info would be helpful thanks!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
