I had my nails done on Thursday, left on Friday, and I got them re-done on Monday at The Spa so they would be freshly done. WIth all the sun-screen and chlorine they needed to be re-done by then. The SPA did a wonderful job- I had them done the day before the wedding so I didn't have to worry about them drying the day-of. I also bought the color I wanted and brought it down so that I could touch-up if necessary. I would recommend that because they didn't have a huge selection of colors. They also did my hair there and it turned out PERFECT! The SPA, in general, is beautiful-you have to check it out!

I finally heard back from Reyna. She explained that the Steakhouse on the Beach side is a private reception. I feel so much better now that I don't have to change anything. Gail - you are doing the steakhouse as well. She sent us the PDF with the menu options. Do you know if we have to pick on for everyone or if we can give people the options? When we were planning on the Tropical at the Del Mar - everyone had an option.

The wedding coordinator wrote back to me about the Steakhouse and said we had to pick one menu item from the choices if the party is over 25 people, which sucks since some want fish and some want steak. She said it would be set up the same as the Tropical with a private reception if you had originally wanted it that way.

Best wishes Gail!!!!!

Thanks! Yes, it is! Planning is good and keeping me busy but had a rough week. Here is the scoop, My good friend passed away. sad.gif Her funeral is tomorrow. It is so sad, she was only 31, would have been 32 on Thursday. Pretty broken up over it.

But with everything coming up, I have to stay strong, with the ocassional outburst. We are leaving for Mexico in 3 weeks, then we head off to Australia and New Zealand for 3 weeks. Then we get back and have our AHR. It is going to be crazy!

I just got my Annoucements for the DW and AHR out today. WOOO HOO! That is a miracel in itself with the way the week went. I wanted to get them out last week, but had a really hard week.

But just keeping busy. Trying to get everything done. FI has been great, I have been a nightmare for him this week. I just hope he still wants to marry me after my bridezilla/mourning ways. Ha!

:) Bess

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
