Another option is to leave a note for everyone at the check in desk and the resort can give it to them as each person checks in.
Thanks for the idea Ryan's girl! Where did you guys meet any good ideas? A particular bar you recommend?

Can I ask why you're thinking of not doing Los Vitrales? I'm still working on getting my review done, but I'll just tell you that it was so great to have that room. The bars are good, but with the Vitrales room, it was like having an actual reception, all of my guests loved it. We did the $6/pp so the bar was right there in the room with us & honestly, I wouldn't have changed a thing. Just thought I'd let you know.

I wasn't sure it was worth it. But I am definitely open to suggestion. If you highly recommend it I still might reconsider. I was wasn't sure about messing with the iPod and paying the xtra $$$. But again, depending on how much it would be and if the iPOd thing works, maybe we will do it. Thanks! I really apprecite that! I can't wait to read your review! Also, if you have bars you recommend to meet at I would greatly appreciate the info!

We are having a welcome cocktail with most on may 13 which I set a time/location in the pre-travel brochure and outlined the times/locations for the other stuff. We also made up oot bags and are including another booklet with itinerary of the events/times/locations that the resort will hand out for us to those that we don't see at the welcome cocktail. Check out the link for the brochures I made under my pic of the puppies.
Yeah, I am thinking of doing a letter ahead of time too,.
I loved your brochures and everything! Thanks so much for sharing!

(I know this is WAY early, but I don't want to be rushed! Well...I haven't heard anything from the WC's? Does anyone have an email address for the WC's at Del Mar? I read a few pages back about a change in staffing (promotion?) Any help would be appreciated, I will post my STD as soon as I actually print them out and cut the first one...FI are off to Michael's tomorrow to look at stamps and other fun things to decorate them with...awww.....I love being engaged....LOL wink.gif

Are you working with a TA? I am working with Destinationweddings.com and they do all this for you. It has been so easy! They do it all! Including setting up your Wedding Date, they talk directly with the WC for you, they negotiate with the resort for the best price and the transfers are included.

They also work with your quests directly to get you the best price. Let me know if you need a referral.

hmmmm, good question. I don't think the Iberostar themselves have a shuttle but I know the airline company's do. For example, we are all flying apple vacation and they provide a transfer. But if iberostar does offer a shuttle/transfer I am sure you can find it on their website www.iberostar.com Otherwise if most of your guests are arriving the same time/day/airlplane you should get a coach bus if there airlines don't provide transfers which i know you can easily get to pick everyone up just do some online searching (we looked into coach buses for various reasons in mexico). check out this site: Cancun Airport - Cancun airport Transportation - Cancun Airport Transfers - Cancun International Airport, Cancun taxi for a quote.

Hey Ladies! So I'm getting close only 20 days left and I am in desperate need to find my something 'borrowed'. I have searched all the forums and read all the posts but I have always found ya'll to be the most helpful (and yes I know this has nothing to do with the iberostar post) but you are a great group and was hoping you can give a desperate bride some ideas?!?! So what are ya'll doing for your something borrowed?

I think they start at 5pm but more than likely the iberostar will try to hit you up for the daypass $50 instead of the $35 nightpass. if you are having the ceremony at the beach/del mar you don't need passes unless your guests aren't staying at the iberostar chain.

Well I had a hard time trying to find something "borrowed" and something "blue" so I stumbled upon a suggestion from another bride and took her up on her idea. I read the book "something blue" by Emilie Giffin. You could do the same for "borrowed". I know it's a little non-traditional but that seemed to be my theme! haha!

I'm sure it's probably different (because it would be too easy if it was the same), BUT the WC at the Lindo/Maya quoted $100 for an adult pass ($50 for children under 12). Guests are allowed to arrive 2 hours before the ceremony and can stay until 11pm or until the reception is over (whichever is later).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
