I am getting married at the Del Mar in November. Has anyone used their photographer Foto Caribbean?? This is the photographer they suggest using. I think if you bring in an outside photogrpaher there is an extra $300 fee. If anyone has any input on this please reply.

Thanks,

Noel

A friend of mine got married at the Del Mar last year and used the resort photographer. When I met up with her in the summer to see her pictures I was really disappointed. It made my decision easy to hire an outside photographer and pay the $300 penalty for not using the photoshop.

I think it all depends on how important the photographs are to you and your FI. I consider it one of the most important components of our wedding so I didn't even have to think twice about finding a different photographer.

We hired an outside photographer and although it was a lot more money it was well worth it to have the type of pictures we wanted. We did hired the resort videpgrapher and were very disappointed with our wedding video. I wish we had hired an outside videographer as well.

Hey girls! I've just chosed the Iberostar paraiso del mar for my wedding!! We're looking at May 8th and May 15th 2010, haven't booked it yet, I don't think you can for 2010 yet. Anyway, we're expecting about 50 people and couldn't be more excited!! I was hoping to get advice from some of you! Do you know if you can do the dancing and drnking at Aquabar with that many people? Secondly, what kind of decoration is included in the wedding package price? Third, what flowers are offered for the bouquet in the package? Lastly, what is the cake really like? How much extra does it cost to get extra decoration on it? Thanks for your help!

I've heard the hotel photographer and videographer are not very good, so we booked Cecilia Dumas for our photographer, but I'm still working on the videographer. It seems like they are all soooo expensive down there! I was thinking about just going with the hotel videographer since it is so inexpensive, but is it even worth it? Do you mind telling me why you didn't like the videographer? I just don't think we can shell out another $2k for a videographer sad.gif Ugggg

She even does boarding passes too and they are super cheap!
Hi! How cheap is "supercheap"? I emailed her but she has yet to reply.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
