sad.gifHello ladies,

I just wanted to apologize for not being on the forum in awhile. Alot has happened in the last 2 months. Good news and Bad news. The good news is that my fiance and I just bought a beautiful house. We have been here for 3 weeks and it already feels like home. The bad news is that the day before we closed on the house i found out that I need to have major hip surgery. I have dysplacia in my right hip and because of that I have tramatic arthritus and a joint that is wearing down to the bone quite rapidly. The doctor said I MUST do it no later then 6 months. In six months I was supposed to get married in mexico. I have had to unfortunately postpone my wedding in april. This came as a great shock to us and I am completely devastated. I just thank god that I hadnt sent out the save the dates yet. Which I was really lucky considering I was planning on sending them out the day we closed on the house. They say everything happens for a reason and that things will all work out. I just wish I new the reason. Anyways, So the new plan is to get married the following april of 2010. Its kind of a set back but at the same time it gives me more time to plan and chat with all you wonderful ladies on the forum.

Thanks for listening to my rant. and good luck to all the upcoming brides.

love

selina

Oh Selina I'm so sorry that you had to postpone the wedding!

That really sucks but I am also a believer in things happening for a reason (even though usually at the time it stinks..) I wish you a speedy recovery with your hip and Congrats on your new house!

Congratulations on the house!

I'm so sorry about your hip sad.gif My mom had severe arthritus in her hip and had a total hip replacement when I was about 6. In the 80s technology wasn't what it is now and she needed to have it redone 10 years later, but now it's been 14 years and she's still going strong. Most people have NO idea.

Best luck with the surgery!!!

I agree, everything happens for a reason!

Selilna,

I'm so sorry to hear about you having to postpone your wedding. I am I firm believer that everything always just works itself out. If you think about it... things that you were so worried and stressed over 3 years ago probably never even cross your mind anymore. This is just a little bump in the road, but it will all work out. It always does.

And a new house! That's worth celebrating... CONGRATS! Got pics?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
