Are you sharing a room with FI night before the wedding?

Recommended Posts

Since we aren't really doing much that is traditional, I decided this was one thing I wanted to do. I, like Yari, am unsre where FI will be sleeping, but we will figure that out later. I was thinking of having a slumber party too with the girls!

My FI will be staying with his friends and my mom will be staying with me. I thought it would be a lot of fun to spend my last night single with my mom and just have girl chats. FI and I live together so we both like the idea to have sometime apart and get really excited to see each other all done up in our wedding attire.

wespent the night together. we don't sleep well alone & i didn't want to miss out on vacation time with him.

all of my friends came as couples. if i had a bunch of single girls & he had guys there I could see splitting up for a girly slumber party. but, we would have just been alone & I know I wouldn't have slept.

we parted ways after 11am when my hair dresser arrived & saw each other at 2:30 for pre ceremony pictures.

We haven't really discussed this yet...I am assuming we will be together the night before. We are not traditional at all so I guess I will just leave it up to my FI! If he wants to find somewhere else to sleep then he can...Heck I am not leaving the room! :)

Our wedding wasn't until 5pm, so we spent the night together, and hung out on the beach drinking and swimming with our friends, probably until like 2 or 3 when I went to get ready. It was perfect and we had such a grea time on our honeymoon that i would've hated to spend less time with Matt or the people there with us.

We did not spend the night together. Since we didn't live together at the time it wasn't a big deal not to be with each other. So I had the room to myself & he went to stay with one of his GM. He did try to kick me out & have me leave so that he could have the suite but I wasn't going for it!! LOL

We decided to avoid each other by saying that he would spend the day on one side of the resort & I on the other. Initially we thought it wouldn't be that hard to avoid each other since the resort is so big. But we did kinda catch glances of each other throughout the morning. I would see him coming one way & since I had the girls with me they would always run interference & make him go another way, so it worked out in the end.

I was glad to be by myself the day of the wedding. I was able to relax & think about everything leading up to that day. Although I didn't sleep that well & kept wondering what he was doing that night & what he was thinking, I'm glad that we chose not to see each other.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
