What kind of lens did you get? I have always kinda wanted one but never went for it for some reason.
Thanks Jay.. I actually got two, a 100mm Macro & a 50mm 1.4. I also picked up a flash. Right now I've only been playing with the Macro lens and as you can tell I still need to get the hang of it. But it was fun trying last night. :-)

BTW off topic.. How are you feeling?

I'm already staring at the clock this morning, I can't wait to go home and try it out more. Cain and I are doing to a dream cruise (big car show) on Saturday and I plan to bring the 50mm with me. So I'm sure I'll post more pictures this weekend.

I have the Sony Alpha DSLR camera. Once you have a nice camera it's amazing how much more you enjoy taking pictures. Maybe whey Sarah has her baby I can experiment on baby pics.. But for now I'm focusing on pets and nature.

Thanks, I'm actually doing photography as a way to help pets get adopted. I work with 2 rescue groups right now and every I make is donated to them. OR I just take pictures for them to post on the web/newspaper. I still have a lot to learn, but I'm enjoying it in the mean time.

I did get a flash, but haven't used it yet. I didn't have batteries in the house for it. I ended up getting their mid range flash.

You should look into the macro's, I got the 100mm macro and I need to play around with the Aperture more to get the shots crisp. I'll work on that tonight.. hmm wonder if there will be enough time at lunch.. lol

Oh how exciting. Yeah, i am trying to decide between that flash and the HVL-F58AM. I can't wait to see some pictures with your flash!!!

I have a whole list of lenses I want to purchase. Being the photographer blog stalker that I am, I have quite a list of "favorites" from other photographers. Sadly almost every lens on there is over $1,000...but eventually we will get there!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
