What are you hoping you get off your registry?

Recommended Posts

I got home from work yesterday to a nice surprise of 2 packages. I got the 20-50 cup DeLonghi coffee maker I registered for and 1 platter from my china and all my bathroom accessories! These were all from people invited to but not coming to my shower which is 2.5 weeks away. It was really nice of them. I'm a cooking queen so I really didn't need anything, I registered for all upgrades and china. My mom is buying me the kitchen aid mixer and I can't wait!

So far, the best thing we have gotten was an ice cream maker - I use it all the time. And it's so nice to have fresh ice cream that you know doesn't have any artificial stuff in it. Not that the artificial stuff has ever stopped me before, but now I can claim to have fewer bouts of guilt when I indulge myself.

Oh - and it has a recipie for pina coladas that I'm dying to try!

The #1 thing I wanted most on my registry was my Keurig single cup coffee maker and thanks to my sister...I GOT IT!! My shower was in June and I have not gone one day without using this coffee maker. My pots and pans were a close runner up and thankfully I received them as well.

I had registered for that, and my FI told me to take it off. We ended up registering for a regular coffee maker. We have a cheap one now that we never use so I figured I would get more use out of the single serve one. Oh well!

We ended up getting 2 boxes of stuff from my FSIL. She went overboard with the gifts, but I am so happy she did! We got the kitchenaid mixer, Cuisinart stick blender and hand mixer and a set of cookie cutters. She knows I love to bake so she wanted to make sure I had all the necessities! I was so excited! Our shower is in two weeks and I can't wait to see what else we get.

So I had my shower a little over a week ago and I cleaned up! I can't believe how much people gave, most people gave multiple gifts! I registered at Fortunoff, William Sonoma and Bed Bath and Beyond and got almost everything as well as gift cards. It was such a fun day even with a hurricane! We had brunch at a resturant right on the water with about 40 ladies. I will post pictures soon! My girls went all out.

This is one thing that I am hoping to get too. My MOH has one and she took it my shower yesterday so my sister cold make tropical slushie drinks for everyone. We call it Jimmy and we love Jimmy! Even if we don't get it, I will be happy getting anything off our registries, which we got a lot more yesterday than I was expecting. Some of it from the registries, and some not, but it is all great and I was sooo excited!

Pretty much everything on our registries are upgrades in a functioning household, however there is an aluminum vase that looks like an aspen tree trunk that I'm in love with. It completely incorporates (I think) both my FI's style and my own which is almost impossible. I might actually splurge and purchase it after the wedding...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
