Post Your Gifts For Your Wedding Party Here!

Recommended Posts

Our GM (and ushers--7 total) are all getting the Reef Bottle Opener flip flops. The BM are all getting beach cover ups (100 different ways to wear them, I think they're so cool!) and butterfly necklaces (made out of abalone-sold at World Market). The necklaces are in memorium of my friend Meghan who died 5 years ago from cancer. Butterflies have kind of turned into our thing to remember her by. Also I will be getting their jewelry and already bought their shoes. I would love to do more, but actually, the necklaces and cover ups are already $40 and we're broke. If more $ magically turns up closer to the wedding, we will likely be doing a bit more for our wedding party that is doing so much for us.

Our gifts to the GM are the suits they are wearing in the wedding. I am still not sure what to do for my girls. I have for them so far:

A straw beach mat

Photo Album

Straw beach bag

Jewelry for wedding

I want to get them something that will be there "big" gift, but can't really spend a whole lot of money on them. I was thinking about maybe doing the robes, or possibly a Vera Bradley Cosmetic bag. ANy other ideas?

i'm basically done with the bmaids' stuff, and here are a few pics! i'm making them beach bags (j.crew small totes on SALE! that are currently being monogrammed so i have no pics of those) filled with:

-flip-flops to match their dresses (they don't have to wear them, just thought they were cute!)

-sashes (linen scarves) to wear around their waist (use if it gets chilly)

-earrings for day of

-pedicure at spa for day of

-in the process of ordering spa wraps from Smarty Pants

-we also paid for their dresses (jcrew beach dress -SALE-) and their rooms!

i want these to be nice because their plane tickets and food/bev in cabo will be $$$$!!

I have 2 BM and 2 groomsmen. We got everyone their dresses and clothes and for general gifts, we're getting the boys custom bobbleheads of themselves in their wedding outfits and (among a few little things) got the girls these gorgeous art glass perfume atomizers. I just thought they were so classic and feminine! I might have to order one for myself too.

Here are the 2 atomizers (sorry, I can't seem to get actual pics to post to save my life):

I also got them each a few little bottles of orange flower water. It's used in cooking but I just love the smell of it and I spray it all around the house and pour some into my shampoos and lotions.

These are the shoes we got the girls (the color is Champagne). I love that these are a little dressier than flip flops but wont make you sink in the sand :-)

This is the bobblehead site I found (haven't ordered them yet though):

These are really cool ideas! I think I've decided that my MOH and BM (his sister) will get a pumped up version of out oot bags with extra gifts in there just for them. Still no idea what to get the GM (my brother) yet. I'm thinking about planning a surprise vacation for me, FI, MOH (my bff) and GM (my brother). We all pretty much do everything together and have gone on several trips. FI and my brother are really good friends ( I joke that they are really dating) so it would be fun, but planning a surprise trip sounds like it might be hard.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
