I would feel really bad if I didn't do an oot bag. My guests are using vacation time and spending a lot of money to come. Since the wedding party had the additional cost of their attire we made their gifts extra special.. So with only 4 weeks left I am starting to pack everything up, woohoo!! Ok so we ended up with: Girls: RL Beach Towel (all our other guests got generic cabana stripe beach towels) Tory Burch Flip Flops Tiffany & Co Starfish Earrings Starfish bracelet from Etsy Tank top with name and wedding role Guys: Personalized Flask NFL shirt with their favorite team and name Ties from Thomas Pink for the ceremony to keep Moms: Shirt with name and role Starfish and aquamarine bracelet Dad: Invicta Watch (he collects watches)

HA! That was my intention...this site will get you pretty obsessed with the goodies to put in the bags! I sorted all of mine last night, put them in freezer bags just to get an idea of what I had...I'm soooo screwed!! I forgot about some of the stuff that I bought.

I've been looking around, but everything is so expensive and adds up when you're having a lot of guests. We're expecting around 50. What stuff did you put in your OOT bags??

I'm doing almost exactly what you mentioned below! After coming across this site, of course I wanted to go all out with large OOT bags filled with great, but a friend got married in Mexico a few months, and she said not to bother with them. They were more pain than they were worth for packing and such, so I decided to scale back a lot.

I am doing small paper-type cheap gift bags and will have in there the welcome letter, itinerary of events, activity book (fun little games and such), photo share card, key card holders on lanyards and some koozies. Might throw in some other small additional items, but we'll see.

As for the wedding party, we paid for all of their outfits so as to lessen the burden of being in our wedding (other than the obvious hotel/flight expense). We will be giving them small gifts of some sort, but haven't decided what just yet.. FI is thinking of taking his guys out deep sea fishing, but I don't know yet. I found some cute personalized beach towels or maybe I'll get them all sarongs or something.

Don't worry about doing OOT bags if you don't want to. Not everyone does, and more than likely your guests won't know the difference!

Why not instead of doing a lot of items do one item like the insulated cups?

These are reasonably priced and I bet your guests would appreciate them more being able to use them everyday and after your wedding then some small stuff.

I thought about my oot bags for months, worried we were doing enough. But we also only have 33 guests (30 adults, 3 kids). Since you have such a large guest list I suggest the paper bags too and maybe just a couple goodies. Some things that might be cost efficient that we did was: Stadium cups with our logo ($1 each on Ebay) 1st aid kits ($1 each at Target) maybe include personalized items like chapstick, sanitzer etc.. Snack (chips, granola bars, candy) Shot glass(we didn't do these but they are super cheap)

Ok this thread is awesome and has some really great ideas. I have a very large group and bridal party coming. I have 1 made of honor, 10 bridesmaids & 10 groomsmen, 2 ring bearers and 2 flower girls. My idea was to buy all of their dresses, jewelry and shoes. Does that seem like not enough? I would probably do more but with such a large group everything adds up fast. NOt to mention there will be 100+ people coming to the wedding so they will all get OOT bags. Any suggestions on websites for reasonably priced dresses or gifts for the bridal party??

One bride on here posted a website

http:// www.heartstringsbridal.com

$15.00 Bridesmaid dresses!! You have to go to the left hand side column and click on sale items!! But there is a ton! I'm not sure about what sizes they have but hey it's worth a shot right!! Especially if you have to buy 10 of them!! Good luck!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
