BTW...What part of Ma are you from? I am orginally from waltham but now live in town (boston).
I didn't do a scouting trip, which really scared me in the beginning, but Leigh & Brendastar on here both did scouting trips & they're both getting married there, so that reassured me that it was a beautiful place!

I don't have any candid shots of the gazebo, but I love to go on tripadvisor, I don't read the reviews that much, just in case, but they have candid pictures that you can look at, theres a ton of them, and I know there are some gazebo shots there as well. And there are so many other pictures of parts of the resort that you've probably never even seen, its really cool.

Thats great that you got your dress! I still have not bought a dress, its really bugging me!

I live in Holland, next town over from sturbridge, if you know where that is, lol! right on the border of western mass.

downtown boston, that must be so much fun, I often wish I would have lived in the city for a year or so on my own either during college or after college, I think it would have been a great experience.

OH, western ma is so nice and peaceful! I have no parking in Boston and crazy big big construction noise. We are in for a big storm tomorrow...I assume you will be hit hard in western ma. I go to tripadvisor alot too..maybe too much like this addicting site. I was in Mexico about 2 weeks and did not even think about having our wedding there until we got back. We stayed at the Palladium which was nice but far from the airport and did not have good food. The gazebo smelled like pee. Anyway, enough of that. What kind of dress do you want?

yes, we're supposed to get some snow & ice tonight too!

I tried to stop reading the reviews on tripadvisor because they used to freak me out, the more recent ones have all been good, and what I've figured out is that some people will just look for something to complain about, so I don't think we're going to have a problem, I've heard way more good stuff, than bad.

The gazebo smelled like pee, yuck!! The grand palladium?

I had actually looked into dreams tulum a lot in the beginning, for some reason I just couldn't stop thinking of cancun as "spring break" but we didn't want to be so far away from the airport either, especially for guests that can only come in for 3 or 4 days, I didn't want them to spend all of their time traveling to and from the airport.

I have liked so many dresses and I go back and forth everyday, one day I say I don't need a fancy dress just something simple, I don't want to spend a lot, and then the next day I'm like I only get to buy a wedding dress once, I want whatever dress I want and I don't care how much it costs. I really love maggie sottero dresses because I love the lace up backs, so I think I'm going to go with one of her dresses, or a knock off because I really don't care. I don't really want anything with too much of a train either.

Sorry about the typos. When I start typing, I can't stop and recheck. Anyway, I was in Mexico from recently, Feb 11-16, and stayed at the Grand Palladium. We walked by the gazebo everyday and it always smelled like pee! Their beach was really nice though.

I have seen MS dresses in some mags and they are VERY nice! My Jcrew dress was only $250 on sale so I figure why not get now. I am trying to be economical about everything nowadays. Maybe I can splurge on photography:)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
