W Hotel Sale! Yes, the bed too!

As Alyssa & Tammy mentioned I also own this bed. It is da bomb! I bought the mattress, the body pillow (ahhh this is the best!), a faux chinchilla throw (people try to steal it from me all the time b/c it is super soft), the ultra cloud pillows, the duvet, the featherbed which goes on top of the pillowtop that is on top of the mattress, and all the protectors for the pillow, etc.

Personally, I like the pillowtop instead of the plushtop but that is just my personal taste. I went with Alyssa's recommendation on that one and it was the best decision ever! I love this bed. I never want to get out of it in the morning. It is super comfy!

As far as deliverytime, they delivered mine pretty fast and I live in the suburbs not in NYC so I really don't think it takes long. I don't know what they mean by "white glove" service b/c I just got some dudes from 1800 Mattress who came and set it up. But it wasn't anything extravagant or anything like that.

I highly recommend this bed, it is the absolute best!

Also, we want to upgrade from a Queen to a King! YEAH!!!
We're in the same boat with the pillow top - DH is 6'7" and has a good 100lbs on me. That's why we're going with the plush. My understanding is that the beds in the hotel use the plush with a featherbed, so I'm psyched about the combo. We also looked at sleep number, but it was SO expensive... and our numbers were like 5-10 off, which didn't seem like a lot.

We're also moving up in the bed size, but we decided Cal. King was the way to go. Its going to be the first time in over 15 years Sam's feet won't hang off the bed!

I don't know exactly when the sale will end... there was no expiration on the code. W Hotel does this every few months, but the sales seem to run for about 2 weeks. When they don't have a 40% off, they usually have a 20% or 30%. I've never seen higher than 40% though, so we're going for it... we haven't gotten our bedroom furniture yet, or painted the walls, but screw it! We're buying the bed and it will sit in plastic until the rest of the stuff comes together - lol! You should call it an early wedding present to yourself :)

Oooh, I want to buy that that featherbed, I was out shopping today and the lnt near me is going out of business, so I'll have to try to get back in there in the next week or so.

One question, for anyone who has one, do the feathers come out?

We used to have a featherbed and at one point there was just feathers coming out all over the place and we ended up getting rid of it because we couldn't stand it anymore. Anyone know?

I've never had a featherbed... but I would hope that it would stay intact :)

Are all of the LNT going out of business? I went to mine today looking for new sheets and the featherbed (which they didn't have) and they were also closing... hmmm... Decent sales in there on bedding, btw - most stuff was 20% off. Add a BBB coupon and that's a good deal!

I had heard that they were going out of business, but I wasn't sure if it was all the stores or just some of them.

I was thinking about the coupon too, sometimes I get 20% off a single item, I wonder if you could combine it with the 20-30% off that they are having now, that would be great!

We had a featherbed on our old bed and loved it. After a couple years of use, yeah, some of the feathers would come out. But they didn't come out enough to be bothersome. Like you didn't know they had come out until you took all the sheets off and there would be a few sticking out here and there. But it's not like they got all over everything, poked us while we were sleeping etc. IMO the benefits of it FAR outweighed the few feathers that would come off when I would change the sheets and fluff it. I think if you try to get a good quality one they usually hold up better.

I'm so excited!!! I ordered my bed yesterday!!! DH told me to order the featherbed instead of trying to find it at LNT. They didn't have it in stock, and unless I felt it, I probably would be wondering if it was the same/as good. It worked out to about $30 more than LNT, so I'm not going to stress about it... We also ordered the ultracloud pillows, which was a HUGE splurge, but I'm so-oo psyched about it!!!

Of course, we still have to paint our bedroom, and we haven't ordered a bedframe yet, but someday I'll be sleeping in my dream bed every night! thewave.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
