Wow!

I can’t believe it’s finally my time – I want to start by saying a HUGE Thank You to Tammy Wright for not only starting this forum but continuing to host it at mostly her expense and to all of you brides (and some grooms lol) for being so supportive, kind and generous with not only your ideas, templates and time but most of all your friendship.

I really couldn’t have done this wedding like this without you!!!

A couple of weeks after we sent out our Passport Invites, we got an unexpected phone call from Molokai Ranch that they were closing down effective immediately – after the shock wore off and we got all of our $ back – we had to re-plan everything. Sandra Evans (BDW Member: Sandra E.) stepped in and helped me create an update Newsletter for all of our guests…

For our 4th Anniversary last year we decided to have our “Relationship Story” written professionally by Ellen Braunstein from Courtship Stories (Courtship Stories). From there we decided to have Mini-book’s designed by Sproullie Designs (BDW Member: Sarah) to put in each guests OOT Bag and for ourselves as a keepsake. Our hope is that by sharing our story with our family and friends, they feel even more invested in our ceremony and understand the little details that make it all really significant to us and basically why they flew thousands of miles lol!

Custom Wedding Certificate from Wedding Vows-Guest Signature Documents-Special Event Certificates-Reception Accessories-Table Numbers-Place Cards-Seating Charts-Menu Cards-Stationery-Wedding Programs.

This is significant for us b/c both of our faiths/backgrounds utilize wedding certificates in their ceremonies (Quaker and Jewish). We had this graphic made b/c it is reminiscient of the site we have choosen for our ceremony. We also have our actual wedding vows on here. There are 40 signature lines so that each guest who is present as a witness can sign it. The certificate is done on archival paper and when we get home we will frame it and have it up in our house!

That is it for now - I am missing some things like OOT Bag Contents, Groomsman gifts, Starfish Pin, Annoucements and Thank You Cards (both in production) b/c we shipped a bunch of boxes to Hawaii a couple of months ago without taking pictures but I will update this thread once I get back and get the pis.

The planning threads have always been my favorite - I LOVE seeing everyone's weddings come together and now doing my own there is such a sense of relief knowing that the DIY and project part is over smile36.gif and a sense of pride seeing it all come together and knowing all the hard work that went into these things - i sure hope all of our guests appreciate and like everything lol!

THANKS AGAIN TO EVERYONE BUT ESPECIALLY SARAH AND SANDRA - YOU ARE BOTH SO TALENTED AND SO KIND - HAVING YOUR WORK IN MY WEDDING REALLY MEANS A LOT TO ME!!! XOXO

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
