I know you like pictures, so here you go!

It is move in ready, but there are several things we want to do to personalize the space like replace all of the bathroom lighting, paint, re-tile the kitchen, re-do the fireplace. Then we have a whole other list for long term projects like rip up the carpet and re-finish the hardwood, get new carpet for the bedrooms, build a garage and deck, possibly add on to the upstairs, etc.
YAY for a good inspection! i have to go check out the pics, but just wanted to tell you that if it's in your budget, you may want to consider refinishing the floors before you move in. once you have your furniture in, it's a PITA to move the furniture, and places charge upward of $100 for each room.

ok off to check out the pics.

EDIT: ok, love the porch!!! the house is adorable! what's on the walls inside the closets and on the wall in the "bonus" space?

Great house! Congrats again and smile29.gifsmile29.gif for a great inspection!!!

I second Lauren with the hardwoods! If you can, try to get them done before you move in... the dust is crazy, and its a lot harder once you have furniture. We managed to get them done before we moved, and it was a great decision.

Good luck with everything! So exciting!!!

I'm trying to get the flooring guys in soon to give us a quote. I agree and would much rather have the floors and anythign else done before we move in.

The closets are all cedar lined.

The bonus room has a hanging bar, but the area is about 8'x6'! Plus the second walk-in! In the future it will be a kid's playroom so I can hide all of the toy crap!

I had a ball at Home Depot last night. I think it is going to become my new favorite store!

However, I have this little problem with champagne taste...I hated all of the 24.99 fixtures, I wanted the 249.99 fixtures.

The house was at the top of our budget, so we don't have too much to spend right now on fixing up. sad.gif

I would much rather hire someone to come in and do it all! Especially before we move.

The first DIY will be that stupid red fireplace! It is awful!

Tomorrow is the big day! We close at noon!

I can't believe this whole thing has gone down in 12 days!

We are doing our final walk-through tonight. I'm taking the tape measure so I can start shopping.

Hopefully I can talk DH into going to Home Depot and buying paint tonight so I can get started tomorrow! LOL

My FI and I just bought a house too! We go to closing on Tuesday! I am a liitle ( a lot) nervous, but I am definately ready to stop renting.

Our house needs a lot of updating, but we got a good deal. (well, as good as a deal you can get on Long Island, NY )

Home Depot is going to be my life for the next couple months...urg!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
