Going to NYC, what's the best hotel around Times Square?

That's 7 votes for W Times Square...I think you have your answer :)

Seriously though, it's very modern and the rooms are spacious for NYC. The bathrooms are really cool and the whole hotel has a cool vibe. When you come in at night it's really lively and fun. Check out the website to see pics of the rooms and stuff - you won't be disappointed!

One thing I've noticed from the bathrooms in the photos though is that they're crowded. It sort of looks like The Four Seasons New York or The Sofitel might be nicer in that category. Then again, we're sort of getting away from the "modern" theme with those two and more into the "contemporary" design.

Awesome! I love what they have on their site, it'll definitely be one of the options. It is a little ways from the Times Square/Central Park area though.

The Mandarin Oriental is looking very promising too! It's right next to Central Park.

Here's my list so far....
  • Affinia Dumont New York
  • Four Seasons Hotel New York
  • Hotel Gansevoort
  • Mandarin Oriental Hotel
  • Marriott Marquis (still need to throw it in there)
  • Sofitel Hotel
  • W Times Square

I'm looking at the Mercer Hotel photos and I don't get why it's on the $600+ side. The Marriott Marquis looks much nicer and more spacious. It's just amazing how different the professional photos on a hotel's site can look versus the photos that are taken by it's guests (see below).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
