haha! Just thought I'd let you guys know something funny...

So I had been holding off on e-mailing Cecilia as I had been e-mailing her several times a week with questions when we first booked at the resort and I had a million things I needed to know...

Well, I got an e-mail from Cecilia on Friday asking me if everything was okay because she hadn't heard from me in a while! :-)

I told her everyithng was great -- I was just giving her a break:-)

But I thought it was nice of her to check in:-)

Friday or do we have to wait for the 5th day< Saturday to get married?
To the best of my understanding you could then get married on Friday. We're arriving on Tuesday and getting married on Saturday and nobody has said anything that we need to change it. So i think you can get married on Friday if you arrive on Monday.

I know..the rules are pretty annoying. That is why I'm getting married in the states before I go to Mexico and just have a symbolic/renew our vows ceremony. I don't feel comfortable having to get a blood test and having to go through all the pre-work before my wedding. I don't want any bruises on my arms either! I asked the WC if that was okay and she said of course....

Hey ladies -- sorry to change the subject

BUT, I was just wondering if any of you have had any luck getting information on rehearsal/welcome dinners from Cecilia...in particular, info on having a beach bonfire...

The most I've been able to get from her is that this is possible...but no other info on cost or set-up etc

(I know at Scerets Capri they off this bonfire option...)

Anyone else looked into this...?

What's everybody else planning for their welcome/rehearsal dinners, if you're having one at all...?

Simistar - we are getting the free package b/c of room category we booked but I do want to have a reception. She sent me a couple of pics of what the pool terrace would look like for a reception. send me your email and I'll forward them to you. I'm not sure about a bonfire but that sounds really cool!! Only concern I thought of was having a sit down dinner on the beach with the wind blowing could be troublesome. Let me know what Cecilia says though...could still be an option for us as well.

Hey fellow B-C -er!

(I replied to your PM yesterday...or maybe it was the day before:-) Either way, hope you got it:-))

Anywaaaay, if you look on page two of this thread, you'll see I posted the secrets photo price list (I think that's what I named it...) Those are for the packages for using the resort photographer, Juan Navarro.

I know I saw on some other thread on this massive forum somewhere some girls saying when they tried to e-mail him, it took a really long time to hear back from him. It's probably better to go through Cecilia, the resort's wedding co-ordinator (I included her contact info in the PM I sent you)...

Of course, if you end up paying for an upgraded package, depending on which one you get it includes some time with the photographer and some printed photos...(I'm not actually sure if it's Juan himself that would do it...likely one of his associates...?)

Let me know if you need anything else!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
