My Dress Dilema~ Advice Please

Recommended Posts

I say try them both on and then have whichever one you LOVE the most on you. If it happens to be the second dress, then sell the first one. I am sure you will have no problem selling it!

Follow your heart and get the dress that you feel the best in to walk down the isle!!!

If it's the sensible factor that is influencing what you really want to do, think of it this way, we buy extra stuff all the time and we all have the right to change our minds. Sometimes, you have to through sensibility out the window so you can be happy. If it's not a common occurence, it's ok to do this sometimes.
Jennifer, I think you hit the nail on the head! All night last night I just kept picturing myself walking down the aisle in the 2nd dress. Looks like I might have a dress for sale soon... oh well. I am going to try them both on again just to be sure tho.

Thanks everyone for your input. I think if I loved the first one as much as I thought I did then I wouldn't have even wanted to try on the other one. So, looks like I might be buying dress #2.

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!! Too bad we are getting married so close together, we could share!
ooh, sharing would be good. I could ship it to PV from RM. It'll be clean from my TTD. lol

So, I've decided to list my original dress for sale to see if I get any nibbles. I posted it here and on craigs list. Any other places you suggest? I don't want to put it on ebay cuz I just have no idea how or what the rules/ fees are for selling something on there.

Start there... if it doesn't go there are tons of consignment shops that would take it. I think it will go!
Who's taking your TTD photos? Are you excited? I have TTD booked as well with Elizabeth Medina. Looking forward to it! Not sure if I will wear my dress but probably!

For a destination wedding I would go with the second one. I think it looks funny when the men and BM are casual and the bride is in a very formal/traditional dress. Plus you will probably be really hot in the first one with it being satin and it will be really hard to take on the plan and will probably have to be steamed. The second one will pack easy.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
