I just sent you a message... Are you hiring an outside photographer? If so for what time? I am worried with my 6pm ceremony time i wont have enough time for photos before the sunset at 7:18. Janessa seems to think its enough time but the photographers do not..

Nursebrooke,

Our weddings are pretty close!!!!

Have you had your phone appointment with the Miami office yet?

Have you choosen your locations for your ceremony and reception?

How many are you expecting?

What are you colors?

Have you choosen a photographer?

I look forward to chatting with you.

They are close!!! It will be good to keep in touch and have each other for contacts!!

My TA has talked with the Miami office but I have not. Are you doing all your own arrangements?? My fiance's cousin is a travel agent and does lots of destination weddings so it was easy to have her since we already knew her personally. I hope to have contact with people myself at some point so that I can get to know them.

I am choosing the beach for ceremony...I keep reading how great the rooftop is but I am still drawn to the beach. I feel like if I am going all this way I want to get married with the sand in my toes!! Reception is up in the air. I am waiting to see how many actually book. So far about 35 say they are coming but I am not sure if some will drop out or if some may add once I send out actual invites. I have no colors!!! I wanted neutrals so that I did not have to coordinate my bridesmaids dresses and they can wear any color. I was looking at the Pearl Shimmer package but for now have booked complimentary and we put our money towards blocking rooms for our guests until I get a better idea of how many are coming and if I am going to have a private reception, etc. And I was not planning to bring much because I read you had to pay $300 a table if you wanted to bring your own decorations. I wated to have Ivan Luckie as my photographer but I asked to have an outside photographer and they said no. I asked my TA to ask again before I sign the contract but I am just waiting now. It says no outside vendors. I am definitely doing a TTD with him in the cenotes. Are you having a different result with outside vendors being allowed??? I feel like there are so many variables and what ifs!

Tell me all of your details please :)

I do have a travel agent but i have been in contact with the Miami Office myself. I needed to personally talk to them because I had so many questions!

The beach will be beautiful! I have choosen the rooftop Sky Terrace, I was just floored by the view! This is the main reason I choose Beach Palace. I have booked the South Terrace for my reception. I really wanted it to be outside. But like you I am waiting to see how many actually book. Right now I am guessing approx 20-30ppl. I love the neutral look and diff color bridesmaid dresses! I choose grey and yellow as my wedding colors. Bridesmaids will be in a short chiffon light yellow sweethear dress (might have to order one for myself i love it so much. lol)

Honestly the scenery is so beautiful so I decided to go with the complimentry package as well. They have told me it will be $100 charge to have them add any decorations your bring yourself. I will most likely add sashes and maybe some rose petals.

Are you paying for the hotel rooms for your guests? Is that what you mean by paying for the blocking?

Ivan Luckie is on my list for photographer aswell. I am between Ivan Luckie and Fine Art Studio at this time.. I was told that you have to pay a $500 vendor fee to bring in an outside photographer. But there is no fee for Del Sol. I also feel that everyone seems to get a different answer in regards to outside vendors etc.  But the above is what I was told on my phone appointment with the Miami office.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
