Beach Palace in Cancun???

Recommended Posts

Maybe I should be talking to them also. (the miami office) you have so been told so many different things than me!!

All new questions for you!!! So where did you see pics with the view for the sky terrace? I have not seen very many, I would like to see some more, I like that it is more private. Are you definitely doing a private reception? If I have less than 30 I will have the one in the restaurant and then upgrade other things like DJ, etc. I have not even started to talk about where my reception will be. Just $100 total to bring your own decorations?? Yellow sounds fabulous!! I was considering that for my girls. I am leaning towards corals. But if I could bring my own decorations I wanted to do blues to complement the natural beauty and not take away from it. I have not received my official wedding contract, my TA received an email confirming the date but we are still waiting for paperwork. Did you sign contract then have meeting with Miami or vice-versa? I am so glad to have you for a reference!!!!

I am not paying for my guests rooms!! Yikes :) I am just blocking the rooms. It was $100 for each room. After I send STD's and people start calling to put their deposits it will get credited to my room booking. My main motivation for this was to receive free nights and the cocktail hour for free. I blocked 15 rooms. How many nights are you staying?

Sorry if I am all over the place!!!

Oh my goodness i googled the heck out of Beach Palace. Google it and look for photographers sites- they usually have the most photos. Here are a few:

I also looked it up on you tube and someone had a video of the terrace: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBeVtb9yfYs

Yes i think i will be doing a private reception I am banking on booking 75 rooms or more and then all your private functions are free! I was just worried about having random people beside us in the restaurant or something... As for DJ I am on the fence I have read reviews where brides say it was a waste of money they just played a play list and didnt speak and it was horrible music at that. My group will only be 20-30 so I think we are just going to bring an IPOD..I have a loud and crazy bridesmaid so Ill make her do all annoucements etc. :) $100 for the ceremony only. I beleive its $200 a table to bring your own decorations for the reception. I have not signed a contract or anything either . My Travel agent has advised us not to book with a Tour Company until July ish as the rates will be dropping (its expensive from Canada.. lol) so i will acutally book at that time. I have been in contact with Janessa from the Miami office over email and then i had my "phone appointment" with her at the begining of April. She has confirmed my date/time and locations though. Just waiting on the tour companies to offically book.

We havent decided how long we are staying.. I originally was thinking just a week with the group.. but I have read in alot of threads brides suggest to stay an extra couple of days to relax after everyone has left.

What are your travel dates.. I will be arriving on the May 11 so prob just miss you...

Thank you!!! So helpful! We are leaving the 9th. We are coming the 29th of April. We are staying a week and then sending my kids home with my parents and the rest of the group on the 6th. We are thinking of changing to Sun Palace just for a change of scenery and an adults only feel.

Hi,  I posted a few pictures in an album on my profile.  Feel free to ask me any questions you might have.

Beach Palace was wonderful and the staff were very accommodating.   I am pretty easy to please and wanted a simple but fun wedding.  That is exactly what I got.

We chose the beach for our ceremony and the south terrace for the reception.  We had 22 guests.  One couple used the restaurant for their reception and it didn't seem very private or intimate.

As far as decorations I purchased 50 meters of fabric and some strings of sparkly beads to "Jazz" up the complimentary package.  We were charged $100 for the set up of the ceremony and the reception.  I thought that was fair.  My guest also helped with the set up as we had the vision of what we wanted.

I have to run but I am happy to answer any questions or provide more pictures.

Those are beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing. So helpful for us awaiting our weddings. One question, would you get married on the beach again? Did you get a chance to check out the rooftop terrace? Did you have any events up there? Most are choosing the terrace, I was leaning towards the beach. Thanks again.

Hi Carole Ann!!!

Congrats on your marriage! Your photos look great! You look beautiful!!!

I do have some questions...

Were you flowers from the resort?

Did you hire a DJ or go with Ipod?

Did you get your hair and makeup done at the resort? If so who did you use and would you recommend them?

Do you have any pictures of your reception on the South Terrace? I would love to see the set up as that is what i have booked and have approx the same amount of guests as you!

Hi Kristie,

Thank you Kristie.  It was a great day.  Mario (WC) was awesome.  Everyone at the resort went out of their way for us.

Were you flowers from the resort? Yes they were.  I knew I was getting ivory roses - I had asked for some blue in the bridesmaids flowers.  Not sure why but that clearly got missed.  I was still very happy with the bouquets - The ivory was beautiful with their dresses.  I should have reconfirmed with Mario once I was on site but it all worked out in the end so I didn't even mention the error to him.  I have to mention that every rose in all 4 bouquets were perfect.... not a brown spot.  I wish I could have brought them home with me.

Did you hire a DJ or go with Ipod?  We went with the i-pod but much to my surprise there was a person there to "man" the music.  He had to be told what to play and when.  He never spoke a word but did what we asked so again it worked just fine.  We had a play list ready on the ipod so all he had to really do was to hit play.

Did you get your hair and makeup done at the resort? If so who did you use and would you recommend them?  Myself & my bridesmaids all did our hair and make up with the resort.  They did a really good job of both.  I don't recall their names. We were all specific about what we wanted and they did as we asked.  I had my ipad with me to show them pictures.  My step daughter has really curly hair and they did a good job.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
