We were just at the Beach Palace for my future SIL's wedding.  We were blessed enough to be the photogs of the event and I have to say that the Beach Palace is one of the main reasons we are choosing to have a DW.  It was an amazingly beautiful resort and they made us feel like part of their family.

The BP was just great and I am willing to share any pictures as soon as I learn how to do that.

Hi Burlia,

We are not going to make a site visit, though I would have loved to.  Airfare is crazy expensive between now and June, and I am so busy at work that I don't think I could get away even for a weekend.  If you make it down there, I would love to hear what you think.  We are going on all of the wonderful recommendations we have heard, and hoping for the best.  The way I figure, as long as the resort is nice, and we end the day married, I will be happy.  I feel a huge amount of relief from looking at the gorgeous pictures some of the ladies have posted on this thread.  Sorry I don't have more info for you, but I'll be happy to tell you all about it when we get back at the end of June!

Hi Burlia,

Once we signed a wedding contract we asked for the 2 night comp.  It was a pain to get it, but I pushed and we got it.  They took very good care of us during that time as well.

there are pictures posted on my profile can you access them there?

Yes, I see them! Thanks! Question... did you go with the free wedding package? I was wondering if the huppa (or whatever its called) and the table were the set up for the free wedding package. I'm using that one too.

Any Cozumel Palace Brides? I noticed everyone raves about Moon Palace/Beach Palace~but where's the brides from Cozumel?! I am dying to see pictures if anyone has any..I was also wondering what they thought of the resort and any other information they can share. I am looking into getting married there in November, most of my guests will be doing a 3 day trip..any ideas what we should do during those days? I have never been to Mexico, so I need all the help I can get!

Hi anderah,

The Cozumel Palace was our second choice...we actually had a really hard time deciding between that and Beach Palace!  We were choosing based on the recommendations from our travel agent, who was just at both of them last summer.  The pictures of the wedding gazebo at Cozumel Palace just about had me sold, but after looking at some pictures of the resort online, we realized that there is actually not a beach at Cozumel Palace.  After talking to our TA, we found out that they do have ocean swimming/snorkeling areas, but that there's not a beach to go lounge around on.  We figured if we were asking our family/friends to travel to a tropical destination with us, we wanted them to have a beach.  That's honestly the only thing that made our decision.  The TA said they are both fantastic resorts in beautiful locations with great service, and that we couldn't go wrong either way.  Not sure if that helps you any, but hopefully it will.  I'm sure you will love the resort and your wedding will be perfect!

PS-If you haven't looked at the updated website lately, Palace Resorts now has a "channel" on YouTube, so you can find video from, I think, all of the different Palace Resorts.  Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
