I am a newbie to this forum.  I am July 2011 bride and just made an online reservation with Beach Palace in Cancun.  Any newly wed bride signed contract with Beach Palace and took advantage of the $1500 value dollars for the wedding?  I would like to use the $1500 Value Dollars  toward to photography but not sure how that works.  Does anyone know?

I believe the $1500 promotion ends in less than a month.  From what I've been told you need to have your contract worked out and signed before it ends to get those perks.  I believe you can put it towards the wedding, but I'm not sure about the photography specifically.  I did a site visit down there and met with the wedding planner 2 months ago and from what he told me it has to be put towards a wedding collection.  (Diamond, Emerald, Saphhire, Ruby, Amber, etc)

I am getting married at Cancun Palace (switched from Beach Palace) on May 21 - I'm putting my dollars towards the spa and excursions.

Hi ladies,

Good news, the promotion has been extended! There has been one change though.

The change is to the 3 night credit amount:

The new promotion dates are:

Booking window: from december 1, 2010 through may 31, 2011

travel: december 1, 2010 through December 23, 2011

Also, while on our site visit a couple weeks ago we learned that if you make ANY changes to a wedding collection, it is no longer considered a collection and the $1500 credit cannot be applied to it. We witnessed a couple go through this as they were checking out the day after their wedding and spoke with them about it. They did not know this before hand. If you upgrade anything in the collection or use another vendor for a service, etc. it is no longer valid to apply the credit.

Soo, as we aremaking some changes to our collection (we're upgrading the hoopa fabric) we will probably use our credit toward a night out with a limo, the spa and maybe excursions!

Ladies, thanks for sharing all of that information. I am sure a bride and groom would be quite upset to receive a 1,500 bill at the end of thier stay due to making changes to the wedding collection!  Very helpful info.

I anyone is planning on booking a wedding with the palace resorts in the future please email me, I am a member and happy to share my benefits(20% off spa treatments, 1 mani, 1 pedi, 1 back massage included per person per room, and lower rates.  I know each little bit helps.

Have a great day.

Please send me a private message!

Good luck ladies.

Hi AshleyNicole

I was just wondering what it was about the Beach Palace that you liked more than the Cancun Palace, was it just the sky terrace that swayed you?

I highly recommend a site visit to any bride that wants to get married at any destination location. It's a priceless experience to see it first hand and meet some kep people that you will be working with for several months.

We also were able to see two wedding set ups over the weekend which gave us great ideas and we got some invaluable infomation from the couples getting married. We also saw what took place if it began to rain on a outdoor reception. :(

One of the most important things that the couples reiterated was to GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING. You cannot hold anyone accountable for anything that was verbal or not specifically written.

As for the hotel, it's beautiful, clean, and the staff is extremely courteous. The beach is out of this world!! Wow. I love it. I'm actually tempted to have my ceremony on the beach but the Sky Terrace is breathtaking! I can't say enough great things about this place.

Hi ladies!

I can see that nobody has been on this thread for a while, but I just had to say hello and how happy I was to find it!  We are getting married at the Beach Palace on June 18th (see you there, ThisIsIt!!).  I'm a major list-maker/planner, and I have been dying for more information than we've been provided so far.  This forum has been a godsend!  The pictures that some of you have posted have seriously almost brought me tears of joy!  I finally feel calm and even more excited than I already was to get married...it's wonderful hearing so many glowing reviews.  Thanks a million for all of the info!

The one question I do still have, if any of you who are already married are still reading this board, by chance...if you chose the complimentary package and then purchased add ons and/or brought some of your own decorations, did you ever feel like you were low on the priority list because you were spending less than other brides?  That's really the only worry I have at this point, but I'm guessing from what some of you have already said that it won't be a problem.

Hope everyone's doing well, and seriously thanks SO much for all of the pictures and info that have been shared already!!

By now I am sure you are married so Congrats! I noticed you got married in July and I am getting married at the very end of June so I thought you might be able to give me some pointers on the weather. I also am trying to choose between Beach Palace and Playacar Palace. I really want a beach wedding and some people have said there is no beach at beach palace. Let me know if you could help me with any of this, I would really appreciate it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
