Hi amh777,

Your miami coordinator is the person handling your wedding details before you arrive, and they are located in Miami. This person relays all your infomration and details to the 'on site' coordinator. Once you arrive in Mexico for the wedding, an 'on site' coordinator will take over from there. Make sense?

As for choosing your package, I went back and forth as well but I selected a collection over the complimentary for a few reasons. I like that the decor and flower arrangements for the table are included. I don't want to haul decor to Mexico and as you see all over these threads, the flowers are very expensive and this is one thing that would be somewhat difficult to bring. We also like that a photo package, fireworks, DVD, and soloist are included as well. These things are important to us but I would compare two packages and determine what is most important to you.

Hope this helped!

Ashley

We're all ready for a vacation though, we have about 16 guests, all high energy great people.  I think they'll all feel like this will be the trip of a lifetime, so the anticipation is building like crazy!

Feel free to ask me anything in the coming months, as there are almost no other brides on this forum posting about Beach Palace.  June will be here before you knew it, 9 months ago felt like 2 weeks ago for me!

Welcome AshleyNicole!  Glad to add another to the number!  I'm not sure what it is about this forum and Beach Palace brides.  I too was sold by the trip advisor ratings and reviews.  I figured if I was going to ask people to get on a plane and join me in Mexico I had to be certain they'd be getting top-notch service!

Maybe its a certain type of bride that chooses that resort and their not the same kind of bride who uses this site?

A friend of a friend just got marreid there this past Saturday and she never even ehard of this site.  Not sure what's going on.

Glad to have another gal on board.

I'm a new Beach Palace bride - just got the date confirmed for 9/10/11!!! I've been looking through this thread and it is so odd that there's really not too many of us here. The reviews on Trip Advisor sealed the deal for me - we were debating between Azul Sensatori and BP. Thanks for all the pics you have posted, every little bit helps. We are just in the beginning of planning but we've recieved quite a bit of information about the cerenony and private function options. Diana is our coordinator too and we're working with DestinationWeddings.com to coordinate the travel arrangements. So far the experience has been good!

Feel free to give me any advice, tips or additional photos!!

Welcome AMH777.

I chose to go with the complimentary package because I wanted to do my own thing with color choices and decor and get an outside photographer.  Plus, the package only covers decor for the ceremony, not the reception.  So I figured I could find ways to get teh exact decor I wanted to cover both ceremony and reception.

But everyone's tastes and preferences are different.

Thanks to everyone for the info! Thisisit-- you said you had a friend who recently had a Beach Palace wedding... any way you can talk her into sharing any photos or insights?:)

I'm also curious who all is getting a private reception--- is it worth it seeing as everything they would be serving would be essentially things that all my guests could get for "free" anyway since its all inclusive.. or does it seem too informal to let people just all meet up at a less busy bar? I dont expect to have more than 20-25 people. We'll probably invite 50-60 and I expect about half to show up.  Has anyone seen the set ups they do for the private reception for less than 30 people? No decorations, I presume, which is fine...

Last question (for now) -- also curious about people's opinions on the soloists or mariachi bands. I was thinking of getting the harpist for the ceremony --- anyone heard anything about which sounds better-- harpist or mariachi band?

And another wedding photo blog.... this one has some BEAUTIFUL sunset shots @ the top of the sky roof thing... this is giving me some great ideas for photos. And on the positive, looks like she used the free wedding package and it doesnt look that bad. I might be able to live with that...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
