Yes, you are given wristbands. (The Blau ones were white with blue writing). I doubt you could get around paying. They are VERY strict about outside people coming into the resort. There are guards on the beach and at the front doors. When I went with my mom they barely let us go to the front dest to ask to talk to the WC. I am sure you can pay for someone to come in for the wedding, but I don't know how much. I would email the WC or your TA to find out.

what did u think of everything when u went to visit? do u think ur gunna go there... have any advice :P?
Hmmm. Maybe it is a tripadvisor glitch. Under selloffvacations it is still the Blau.

I loved it. It is in my top 3 resort choices, and probably #1. It is very nice & new, and had a great "wow factor" when you first walk into the lobby. The people I talked to said the food was ok - but pretty good for Cuba. The beach is amazing, and the pool looked awesome too. The WC was also nice. You will have nothing to worry about!

did u ask them about having a beach wedding with chairs?? LOL.. ?
I did and they said no chairs due to safety/lawsuit concerns. But someone on this thread said that they just had to write a letter saying they would be responsible if someone got hurt. (that wasn't you, was it?? LOL!)

I am planning on emailing the WC to ask her about that.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
