They let you have chairs on the beach?? That was my one drawback from this resort, everything else looked great! If/when you have a picture of the beach wedding set-up with chairs, could you please post it as I'd love to see!! I will probably be selecting this resort for my wedding in March 2010. I'm just waiting for the 2010 prices to come out before I decide for sure.

yea absolutely... i basically told them that had i known they were un willing to put chairs on the beach.. i would have booked with another resort.. they replied back saying that if i wrote a letter stating that i would take responsibility for my guests should they get injured during the ceremony :)... soo naturally thats what i did... now chairs i will get on the beach :) only a month and a half away.. and i will definitely let u ladies know how it went

i guess for us the chairs were important because we wanted there to be a defined area where are ceremony was.. so that other people would know.. and we dont want to have everyone kinda floating around and having to try to see over someone else who is taller... and the beach is definitely where we wanted to have the ceremony, otherwise we could have gotten married in any garden in Canada lol!

I agree, Jax. I want chairs for the exact same reasons! I know people will still walk past because it is a public beach, but I think chairs make it look like a defined area, and might deter people from standing right beside in their bathing suits and watching.

Thats the thing, luckily if you stick to your guns on what you want... they will do it for you... their main issue was safety :S so they finally said as long as i take responsibility for my guests if they are injured on a chair on the beach, then they would set it up... but i think it also has to do with the fact that they dont want to lug the chairs all the way to the beach, but thats the least they can do since im bringing appx 30-40 people to their hotel! lol... anyway... the wedding is creeping up really fast so i will let u know how it goes! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
