Tanning...

I may tan a bit before the wedding too. I considered a mystic tan before the wedding but I've been told they streak in salt or pool water and I'd rather be white than striped, lol. I'm trying to get as much natural sun as possible for now.

I feel so much better when I'm tan too!! but I'm actually going to be careful before the wedding and try not to have too much color just a little to look healthier (and thinner!) :)
Hmm...interesting. My FI and I tanned for a month before our e-pics last fall with Juan. He never said anything about it. Do you think our pics looked weird? I'll have to look again!

I was also considering having a professional apply one of those spray tans with their fancy equipment. I did it once before and it lasts about 4-5 days. My only problem is that I would want to do it maybe 2 days beforehand meaning I would have to find a place in Puerto Vallarta!!

Is anyone worried about their tan wearing off on the wedding dress!!!huh.gif

That would be horrible esp with me sweating in the heat!

I have to do something though and tanning beds just don't work for me.

Marla, I sometimes use Neutrogena build a tan, they have one for the face. I will even sometimes just use it if I'm going out for the night, because it just gives you a really nice glow, but if you use it for a couple of days it will darken and it never makes you look orange, I really like it. I have the one for your body too, but I have a hard time putting it on my body without streaks, so I usually just do my face. Hope that helps!

I will go to the tanning salon probably about a month before our wedding. We are planning on a Feb08 wedding right now and will be pasty white from the Ohio winter.

I know it is bad for me, but bottled bronzers look horrid on my skin and from the reviews on the spray type, I will not be trying those.

I am about the whitest Mexican chica you will ever meet!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
