I've got several small collections.

I collect Limoges porceline boxes. My aunt got me started on them. For a while I was all about anything french, so I have the Eiffle Tower, Arc De Triumph, etc. I have lots of other french stuff, too.

My grandfater used to collect salt and pepper shakers, so I inherited his collection, which is really neat and I'm sure worth some money.

I save to corks from my wine bottles and toss them in this huge glass vase in my dining room. I'm having to put them in smaller containers now. I'm kindo of a wino!

When I was younger I collected Barbie Dolls. RIght now they are all boxed up. I'll just hold onto them and hope they are worth something someday.

I have a very small collection of pilbury doughboy things, but not by choice.

I have one Mccoy pottery piece. it's bobby the baker cookie jar. he looks kind of like the pilsbury doughboy. He came from a crack house after my parents ran off the squaters.

before that I had a cookie jar of the pilsbury doughboy that I won in a contest. it came with a years supply of cookies.

so to add to my collection my mom gave my a PDB magnet. I think I'm supposed to collect pilsbury doughboys now.

It's halrious (an inside joke between the two of us) So the following year we went out and got another snowman globe, and this one has a really sad face if you look close up. We're total dorks!!!!!!!!!!
We buy an ornament each year. I pick one & mike picks one. last year he picked out the silliest snowman. you squeeze it & it plays music. we don't even have a tree, but we have a collection of ornaments.

I also collect pictures of people with lion statues. I have an album of them. When my friends/family go on vacation they bring them back. I take them with every cool lion I see too.

And I collect pictures of college campuses. I have them framed on the wall in a collage.

I try to limit my collections to pictures so I don't clutter my place. my place is small & I'm naturally messy.

That is a fantastic idea!

My photographer has a garden gnome that was liberated from a graden. His name is Felix and he loves to travel. He stows away on various vacations or will just come hang out in your house and take pictures. There are several albums of his adventures and I think he even has his own MySpace page!

We wanted to take him to Jamaica, but didn't want to risk him getting broken or accused of smuggling drugs.

Star Wars Memorabilia...anything and everything to do with the Saga. I've had to refrain myself for the past four or five years, but my family have started turning my birthday and Christmas into an excuse to feed my addiction. blush2.gif

I also have a thing for ladybugs, so I have a small collection of ladybug stuff.

Books...I like owning the books I read. (and there are quite a few)

Flip flop magnets from the places we visit...this is a new one. I picked one up at La Ronde (an amusement park in Montreal) a few summers ago, and without thinking about it, I picked one up in Bermuda last year. So it's become a thing for me now. cheesy.gif

I'm also big on Christmas ornaments...I probably have enough for two large trees, but I can't help myself!

I used to do that, too! I made a few corkboards, though & was forced to start all over again.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
