It ends when you say it does. If one of your vendors goes above and beyond and you feel you want to say thanks, go for it. If they don't then don't tip.

I know this is an older thread but I'm still curious about the tipping questions - especially at an AI, where you are purchasing a wedding package and aren't really dealing with hiring your own vendors. Any brides who had their DW at an AI that can share how they handled the tipping?

I'm also curious -- I think though that I would tip the WC or maybe give her a nice gift and then I would tip the waitstaff (somehow? I don't really want to be orchestrating handing out tips on my wedding day)

And the person that performs the ceremony - if we don't meet them until minutes before the service, how on earth would we tip him? It's not like I will be carrying a purse... I suppose the groom could carry cash and such..

My god, it's just more to worry about!!

I think what I'm going to do it make up some thank you cards with some money in each for various people (WC, judge, wait staff, photographer). I think that will be an easy thing to slip them at a quick moment. If I feel that someone doesn't deserve a tip (which I hope doesn't happen because that means something will have gone really wrong) then I will just keep the envelope to myself.

On the site if you type in Wedding Vendors: Tipping Cheat Sheet in the search box it comes right up. Sorry didn't know how to place the link here.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
