How much did it cost for your guest to attend your DW?

@JenniferM  Thanks! I think I would do it too but when I was looking at another resort with the price being about $1600 w/ airfare people were making comments.... I guess they have the option of not coming the full time and only going 3-4 days....

Our guest are staying a minimum of three nights. Our room block is for 5 nights though. Prices start at $366/per person for a tropical view room. Ocean view is $50 more for three nights. Airfare is separate and isn't available as of this date.

Yikes! That's steep!

But for my wedding I too want a high end 5star resort so I totally hear you lol

Since it includes airfare, accommodations, AI and transfers for 7 nights so far my guests haven't been to shocked... Keep in mind as Canadians the tax on the packages are $300-$400 a person. If we chose a date between May-October it would have been $500+ less but that doesn't work for us.

Aahh gotcha.

Yea we are departing from YYZ as well ..

I haven't chosen the date yet as my fiancé had to clear a week off at work but I'm pretty open to whenever... As long as it's this year.

Ours is $1770 pp for 7 nights at the Beach Palace in Cancun from Toronto in mid December 2014 including all taxes and transfers. That's still a bit higher than we'd like for people, so we are going to redistribute our room credits (1 credit for every 11 adults booked) for bookings back to the whole group instead of keeping it for ourselves making it $1651-1700 pp depending on how many book. 5 nights will be $1581-1635

With the limited choices of direct flights we get from Vancouver, we picked Sunwing's package deals. Guests departing from Vancouver is $1,608 (all taxes included and transfers included) pp for 7 nights at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya from Dec 3 to Dec 10, 2014. We get credit for every 11th person. 5 nights costs as much as 7 nights. We know because we have one of the guests wanting to come for 5 nights. She researched and it costs just as much so she just might have to come for 7 nights!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
