I agree with everybody else. So you know what you need to do. That is not right and she shouldn't get away with it. I bet she's thinking she got away with it cause you haven't contacted her yet. Do what you gotta do girl!!! I hope everything goes well and I am really sorry to hear about your mom.

Oh, I'm so sorry. I would definitely take it back immediately and tell her that this just won't do. She's got to take responsibility for her work... and aside from that she should have some pride in it.

Hopefully you'll come to an agreement that will work out well. Keep us posted!

First, thanks everyone for your words of encouragement. I needed it. It took four months for my dress to get here and I would hate to have to find another. I had to drive 150 miles to find a store that had one for me to try on. It was a 2005 model. I will keep you posted on what happens.

Just an update. I am going back tomorrow to see if she was able to fix the dress. In the mean time, I happened to find a "backup" dress today. How funny is this, I found it at the Christian Armory store! Since when did a Christian book store sell wedding dresses? Anyway it is only $100.00 and the length is perfect. (it does have to be taken out just a little or I have to drop 5 lbs in the next 30 days). I am hoping not to have to go this route, but at least I have a plan B. I will post again tomorrow after 1:00 pm. Keep your fingers crossed.

We'll be waiting to hear how it goes. Just a question for you, was this lady sorry about messing up the dress? Will she refund your money and money for the ruined dress if she's un-able to fix it? I really hope she can! Atleast if "worse comes to worse" you did find a back-up dress. How bizzare, a christian bookstore had wedding dresses! Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
