Wedding Coordinators recomendations

Recommended Posts

Not sure if I am helpful but I'm from KC, MO and I'm getting married in Cabo in Dec. I originally hired a wedding coordinator, but after being on BDW, seriously, all the ladies here are a GREAT help. I since dropped my outside coordinator (she was hard to reach & was pricing too high) and now working exclusively with the on site person, Marianna. I think it comes down to where you have your wedding and how much of a hands on groom/bride you are. Most of my vendors are from the referrals from the brides on this site. You'll find very useful info.

Good luck and happy planning!

Hello theinquizitivegroom!

That question you just made has so many great answers. Many people come to mind when organizing an excellent and an unforgettable wedding!

For example, Mandy and everyone at Sunset Weddings are great to work with. Muriel and everyone at Fiestas Los Cabos are also very good. Not to say the least on Illeana & Lubba at Romantic Cabo Weddings and Adriana at Ultimate Destination Weddings.

In fact, Adriana is a certified wedding coordinator, so she comes with all the bells and whistles.

Please PM me directly if you need any further info, happy planning!

I have been reading all the reviews and that has helped but if you guys could help it would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Wow!! I wish my fiance was half involved in the wedding!! I'm kinda jealous! He's just saying yes to everything I say, so hey, I'm gonna have the wedding of my dreams, jajaja.

Ok, back to the question, I would totally recommend you to be your own WC because with some help in this forum and a little bit of will you can save that money and use it in something else. I'm having over 100 guests, the whole ceremony and party need to be bilingual (Mexican and American family, don't ask), my work and the diet and (so farpms.gif) I haven't went crazy, so try it and if it gets overwhelming the hire one.
And beware, some WC may add a little extra to the normal vendor prices to make more money than the fee they already charge, so check twice!

Personally, I like Baja Weddings, but I chose to have lots of beautiful flowers and Juan Carlos to do my photography, so I had to cut cost!

If you need some contact info let me know, I have a friend living in Cabo.

Good Luck!bunny_4.gif

I would recommend Baja Weddings (ask for Coleen, the owner), but each Resort has their own WC and it comes with the Wedding Package, so check that option too.

Good luck and happy planning!

I would suggest however that you do not rely completely on the wedding planners' vendors. In other words do some of your own research, you may find vendors with better prices and better reviews just by asking the brides (and grooms) of the BDW forums!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
