    Jacqueline,

OK, first soaking in lemon juice diluted with water will help - you should take the polish off and then soak every couple days for about 20 minutes. do this for about 2 weeks.

Then go to Whole Foods - they carry a brand of natural nail polish, base coat and top coat - try these for couple months and always use the base coat to protect your nails.

I have heard of that Yellow Out polish - I think you can get it at Sally's beauty - I don't have any advice for the tanning salon b/c I don't tan there but try to cover your nails b/c like Erin said that could be bad.

Also, when you go to Whole Foods, make sure the Top Coat you buy is "NON-YELLOWING" - this is the one I use and it is great. If i use regular top ocat - after 2 days in the sun, my polish and nails start to yellow.

I will def try your suggestions. Im not going to tanning salons anymore, so that wont be an issue, but are you saying the natural sun can tint them too?? I'll have to use the Whole Foods top coat you mentioned. Thanks!

** Could it be that some people just have yellowish nails, or is it def something I can control??

Thx for everyone for you advice... KEEP 'EM COMIN'

the denture cleaner is an old trick that cleans lots of things. i dont know if it will help with nails, but i used to use them to clean my retainers, and my mom still uses it for jewelry.
i don't wear nail polish, but i find that when i remove dark polish from my toes during the summer, it leave a yellow tint. i'd just put a non-yellowing clear coat on for a few weeks and let them grow out a bit. see what happens.

yes, the natural sun DOES tint your nails - some people's color more than others - it sounds like you are pre-disposed to your nails yellowing - that is why it is extra important to only use natural products on them. I just take the base and top coat with me to get a mani or pedi and use either Essie or Opi polish (from the salon), sometimes the women look at me funny but honestly i don't give an F b/c my nails NEVER yellow anymore.

Also, - TIP: when you get the non-yellowing topcoat - make sure you put it on 'thin' b/c if you put a thick topcoat of that it will bubble :)
