Great....I read this just as I'm heading off for 4 days of eating out at every meal! Haha. But this is a good eye-opener...definitely gives me the motivation to eat more at home. Yikes. That was pretty scary.

I live in NY and when you go to Mickey D's or Burger King now you see the full fat and calorie content. It is disgusting! It makes you want to throw up!

I will say we have a very good mayor who makes good social laws. People may not like the government butting in but his policies have worked significantly. You should see the smoking campaigns they have here. They literally have huge billboards of a lady w/amputated fingers due to smoking. It really makes you never want to smoke again.

Thanks to Amy (Amy&Andy) I have started to change my eating habits significantly. I am a huge "eat-out" person b/c I am always on the go but I have since stopped eating out as much and I am trying to eat more clean (organic and not as much animal products). I am slowly trying to ween myself off animal products since there is so much hormones and crap in them but its a lifestyle change and its hard. But you feel so much better once you start changing your eating habits!

Oh, how I miss Panera Bread. There none in NYC. When I was in TX, I was obsessed with the Turkey Bacon Bravo sandwich. I'm too scared to go look and see how many calories it actually has. So maybe it's a blessing in disguise that I can't get it here. Hmmm...

Since I live in a small town, we have limited choices for eating out, but we do still have high calories resturants, including McDonald's. Actually we have 2 of them because we have one in the Walmart too. Usually if we eat out, we go for Chinese food, and usually to the one buffet which is bad, but I try and control myself!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
