My fiancé and I are looking to have a destination wedding in Florida. Looking at possibly a New Years Eve date for this year. All we have found so far is wedding planners that want you to sign a contract before they discuss anything with you. Would like to find a location/resort that is small and will be fairly private for us and our wedding guests or an all inclusive place that will handle it. Approximately 30-40 guests. Children will be attending. Any suggestions or recommendations are appreciated

Hi -

I am having my wedding in Naples, FL at the Hilton - Electa is great to work with. My wedding is going to be small - about 40 people.

I did look into an all inclusive option and there is only one in Florida that Patty from the Travel agency that sponsors this site recommended - it is the Club Med Sandpiper. It is a family friendly resort and is about $170/person/night.

Many places I talked with had a wedding coordinator at the hotel - they should provide information. And many websites let you submit an RFP online. New Year's might be a tricky one at some places - I hear it is popular :)

Good luck!

Congratulations on your wedding! (which must have just happened). I would love to know where you ended up having your wedding and what you thought of the Marriott Marco Beach. I was looking at the Marriott Marco Island and Marco Beach Ocean Resort along with the Ritz Carlton Naples and am hoping to have my wedding in Dec. 2013. Thanks!

My future father in law lives in Bonita Springs.

I am looking for a resort that will offer us a good deal on rooms for our guests. I am planning a simple, elegant wedding. Perhaps a late afternoon ceremony followed by a cocktail. If you have any suggestion I would be so grateful. So difficult to plan without being onsite.

Thank you

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
