Calling July 2009 Brides!

Recommended Posts

Congratulations to you all! We got back a couple days ago from our amazing 11 days in Mexico and our wonderful wedding! All went better than planned. We even got a little rain and I laughed all the way through it. NEVER a worry...... I didn't have to worry about getting wet because our party ended up in the pool after the reception anyway!! HA

Again, Congratulations to you all!!

Now I am Mrs. Maldonado!!

Congratulations July brides so far! I got back on friday night.

TinaM2B - we had the same wedding date! The weather was so unpredictable that day!! Sunny in the morning then really windy with a bit of sprinkles then absolutely beautiful by the time of the ceremony.

It all worked out perfect. I went into the salon to get hair and makeup and it looked awful outside then a friend comes in and says the sun is out! It was crazy. I didn't know where the ceremony was going to be up until about 2 hrs before!

NewYork6156, Congratulations to you too!!! Yes, it was a crazy day. Please share photos when you get a chance.

Our ceremony was at 2:00 with overcast skys. That was probably great for the photos afterwards though. We had an outside cocktail hour from 5-6 that got rained out (fortunately, the gazebo we got married in at 2:00 was right next to it and all the staff moved it under the gazebo) The reception was at 6:00 inside so we didn't have to worry anymore about the weather. When I went to the salon, it was georgeous but a horrible storm went through while I was there that no one told me abuot.... I think that was a good thing because I would of been upset. The way it was, everything turned out perfect!

Isn't it crazy how the weather is always on everyone's mind, but in the end it really doesn't make a difference. The day is still great!

PS - I just posted some pics in my wedding review of Secrets Maroma Beach.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
