I am sure it is been gut wrenching! Props and love to you all! BTW, I hear July is a great month to get hitched! wink.gif
I think most of us are trying to roll with the punches...there really isn't too much we can do...however...air transat has canceled all june flights so if they even cancel one more week that will be me again...so worried!
I re booked at the same resort so it didn't cost me to push back my date since I didn't cancel anything.

You are getting marriend the day after me! :) Woo hoo! Riviera Maya here we come!

I know it must be so hard to stay positive...I mean, who would have ever thought something like this could EVER happen! It is so ridiculous the amount of attention this flu has caused. I think it is because the media was bored they weren't able to report on Lindsay Lohan's relationship anymore...so they had to cover something. wink.gif We can all blame her. haha

But you have to just hope that they have their Sh*t together now and wont be canceling any more flights. Those jokers have ruined so many people's plans!

I have my fingers crossed and I truly believe that this will all be over in a month.

Keep your hopes high and let's all keep our sights on July! It will happen!!!
Muah! smile03.gif

I'm hoping all the swine flu stuff is over, at least for now! It's practically fallen out of the headlines, so we'll see what happens! I've heard maybe it will make a comeback in the fall - but hey, we'll be hitched by then!! Woot!!!

Thanks BBtoB

It is nice to have a little encouragement! I am working so hard at staying positive...just found out today that FI's one brother and his FI won't be able to make it in July...kinda a bummer but luckily the brother that is his best man can come...we knew we might lose a few..but didn't think it would be family...cest la vie!

I hope the flu really dies off in the next two weeks so that we can rest a little easier and just look forward to our new wedding date!

It has actually been almost heatbreaking to go through all of the decision making again...but you gotta go with the flow and roll with the puches as your said! We changed from Mexico because it was going to cost us more to stay there as July is slightly higher prices than May?! But we stayed with Dreams resorts in the Dominican and the one in Mexico said they would return our depsoit or transfer it...just waiting for confirmation of this!

The worst part has been looking for another photographer. We had Moments that Matter for Mexico and I'm super choked that we no longer have them for our wedding, as we LOVED their pics, and are struggling to find someone as good! Oh well, it'll hopefully work itself out.

Now I'm just trying to find new DIY projects to keep me busy!!smile29.gif

we leave in 8 weeks from today and it really hit me when we woke up this morning. I worked like a mad woman and did a lot of shopping today. I bought:

-ceremony flip flops for me and BMs

-reception shoes

-monogrammed cups for OOT bags

-more raffia fans

-mini maracas to use with dinner placecards

I also finished my first aid kits yesterday and have started doing the ribbon on the half of the raffia fans that I do have.

I am realizing that I have lots to do and the clock is ticking....AHHHH!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
