That is great info thanks!

I think for $500 if it included a lot of photos that I could figure out what to do with myself that would be great. I am just not sure that an album is what I would want...I was figuring if they sent me the photos, I don't mind paying $500, if it includes more than 10 photos. (Because I always find something wrong with every photo that involves me!) That is my only hesitation. So hopefully they will clear up that confusion.

The timing is definitely great for Feb/Mar 09 though.

So I am pretty much in.

LOL! You're not a lobster! That's too funny though, and I know what you mean. I'll let you know what they say, but I'm sure if something like that happened, they would edit it to reduce the redness. I would hope?

OK girls, here is the response I just got!

Hello Heather,

Thank you for your interest!

The site is included in the fee (part of why traveling costs are higher for locations less worked)

The $225 fee includes the "sitting fee" along with an online gallery to view your photos and have the option of ordering prints or albums. Prints ordered through us are retouched and printed on fine art paper. A 4x6 print is $15 and an 8x10 is $25. There are several different album options in different price ranges. Albums begin at $175. Here is a link to the different products we offer.

Tait Boudoir Photography

For printing or making albums for personal use yourself you would need to get the disc with the digital images on it.

You will receive approx 250 images with your disc and each photo session is 1 hour in time for shooting.

Let me know if you have any other questions and I will look into those dates for working with Erica.

Thank you,

Christina

This seems pretty good...? I think now we just need to start brainstorming cool locations.

Yup I think so! I'd like somewhere cool and different, something that doesn't look like a hotel room, but I can't think of anything. I wish there was a hotel that had brick walls and stuff inside. The only really modern hotel I can think of is the Soho...? I'll keep brainstorming....

Mmmm maybe not...I have a friend in the event planning business so I'll see what I can find out! Her boyfriend used to have this REALLY cool loft that he ran his clothing business out of, but he just moved out a month ago. Dammit.

Good idea Ana...I'll keep thinking...

Okay, so I just booked my BD session with Tait and I am soooo nervous. I am no where close to being in shape, but as she said on her blog, it is her job to make everyone look good! There is only the one day so far with 3 slots that I have noticed and these are the options that were available. Keep in mind that if there are more of you, the prices might be a bit less.

Hair and Makeup ($80)

Option 1 ($150): Photo session with a private online gallery for viewing and ordering images

Option 2 ($375): Photo session with all digital negatives (high resolution images) and a private online gallery (includes $25 pre-purchase discount)

Option 3 ($595): Photo session, digital negatives, online gallery, and a 5x5 black album with 10 of your favourite images (includes $75 pre-purchase discount)

GST added upon checkout.

I went with the Option 2, as the 5X5 book doesn't seem that big. This way I can use whatever pics I want and make my own book. When booking, you need to pay through paypal and the GST is added there.

I am sooo excited, yet very nervous. I almost didn't book, I guess I wasn't expecting it to be so soon!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
