EEEEESSSIIIIDEEEEEE LOL I live in South Philly. My son is here as a model and we are working on his little meaning age career. I was in the room chatting with you when we thought the basketball team was jumping on the bed in the next room. when Amir said mommy the cereal is shaking.

Hi girls!

I am home, my house is just fine. There were a few things that feel off the wall...oh shit there was another aftershock. Ugh! Angela was in Diamond Bar on a field trip, it is the next city over. She is fine too.

I have been through a lot of earthquakes, but this one sucked! It was a rolling motion and it was long. Also the freaking epicenter was in my town, WTF? That basically means that the earthquake was stronger here, then anywhere else.

The town is safe, but is scary. There are lots of helicopters flying ahead and cops everywhere.

Phone lines were down for awhile...it was super hard to call out, even landlines.

It's pretty crazy to see the town you live on the news. LOL! I am bummed cause there have been over 20 aftershocks and they will continue for awhile. Yuck!

Thanks for checking up on me Maura, I felt so loved.

Ha! I'm from WI we had tornado drills, not earthquake drills. :)

Oh, by the way, I've since learned you aren't suppose to get under the desk, you're suppose to get next to your desk (If it's bad enough to do so.) The desk may get crushed and it will create a pocket next to the desk.

Too bad my office is almost all glass I'd probably die from glass shards before the ceiling crushed me. We're on the top floor. :)

Don't stand in a doorway either (I knew that one).. it tends to collapse on the people standing in it.

Catherine, I'm sure you're fine to go outside but don't run outside during an earthquake. Many people are seriously injured by bricks and stuff falls off of roofs/buildings.

WTF- they teach you that stuff now Angela? We always had drills to practice getting under the desk or running to the nearest doorway. We need an update ASAP- I don't want to be squished like a bug. (not that we have earthquakes all the time or anything....)

Ok I have only had fire drills so i dont think nI should stop drop and roll. It wont help. I had no choice but to go outside I promised the midget his first big mac. Went to McDonalds and back watching the news at all the places that got hit harder.

Hope all is well with everyone

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
