C's birthday is on the 27th - just three days after the wedding. I would like to give him a round of golf that day at one of the really nice courses. Money isn't really an issue. the issue is, I don't know which course to send him to.

I know that the Palmilla has a really nice course, and then there's Cabo Del Sol. Which one would you choose?

The other question is dinner that night.

I'm considering the Palmilla's "C" and Agua as well as "El Restaurante" at the Esperanza

or we can go to Las Ventanas and do their beach dining...

or where? I am willing to spend some decent money here because he always goes all out for me so I would like to do something really special and unexpected for him. My number one concern is just making sure that whatever it is is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and it knocks his socks off :)

    suggestions? comments? anything?

Tasha - you are a good wife!

Is he going to have a golfing partner? I've heard great things about the Cabo del Sol course from avid golfers. It's designed by Tom Weiskopf & is considered a championship golf course. I think that would be a good bet.

I also golf here on a weekly basis (lucky me). My first choice for C would be the Cabo del Sol Ocean Course. Second, Cabo del Sol Desert Course. Third choice, Palmilla Desert and Arroyo courses (not the ocean links because the holes are sub-par)

The other question is dinner that night.

I'm considering the Palmilla's "C" and Agua as well as "El Restaurante" at the Esperanza.

C's and Agua are both excellent choices for restaurants within Palmilla One&Only. El Restaurante at Esperanza is perched in a dramtic setting on the cliffs beside the Sea of Cortez and the food and service are rolling at a high level.

In San Jose del Cabo you might want to try:
El Chilar - excellent regional mexican food
La Panga - knock your socks of romantic with first class food and service
La Viola - Patio courtyard settling, good wine list and yummy food

Natasha - I would go with Cabo Del Sol for golf - it boasts some of the most beautiful holes in Cabo...

Dinner? hmmm all the places you mentioned are waaaay outside of my budget - I am sure Palmilla or Ventanas would be a wonderful experience - they are both places that cater to highly discriminating clientele...

Depending on where you are from - beach dinning is ussually a good way to go for an unforgettable and romantic eve...

La Panga Restaurant. La Panga is in downtown San Jose del Cabo right beside the church. I write restaurant reviews for Los Cabos Magazine and La Panga is consistently on my 'go-to' list.
