Cake in face tradition

Well the good news is that he also doesn't like how dark the blue is in the cupcakes and he said the shells would have to be smaller. The cupcake idea is much cheaper, but they do seem pretty birthday-ish..

What about a small mini-cake for the hand-feeding and then cupcakes for everyone else?

Word of caution learned at our engagement party---- watch out for dye stains on your skin from colored frosting. We had blue frosting on our engagement cake and we had to work at getting the stains off our mouth/lips...

Ok Tammy I posted this on your what would you do thread but I'm going to post it here again. This is what I am planning to do:

Monogrammed Cupcake Tower

My FI and I don't like cake and he really like blue icing so I said okay. I plan to do the tier thing so that it looks more weddingish. And I will aim for this shade blue so that it does not look kindergartenish. Also I think the importance is the way the frosting is applied. In your pic it is smeared. If you look in this pic it is delicately whipped on into layers which makes it look a little more elegant. And I am planning on getting the fondant hearts to place on top of each one with our monogram.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
