For those of you that got married (or are getting married) at Cabo Surf Hotel, what's the deal? Are you able to rent out the entire place for your guests to stay? Or is it just like any other resort? I was originally looking to rent a villa for my 60 guest wedding (only my hubby to be and I would be staying there, everyone else is staying in a hotel.) But now I'm wondering if the Cabo Surf Hotel would work. Any info you can provide would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Jen, Janet typically checks in still so I am sure she will get back to you, but Tammy the host might be better able to answer your question, you might want to PM her. She is a TA also.

We are getting married there in November, and we have the whole place rented out. Armando, who handles the weddings, is awesome and will be able to help you out with it. It is small, so it feels like a private villa, but everyone can stay there. It is the best of both worlds!

Christa already posted a link to my review, but I'll chime in anyway. I was married there the weekend after Christa was. I can't recommend this resort enough. The hotel allows you to reserve all rooms. We had approx 135 guests at our wedding, so obviously with only 22ish rooms it wasn't possible for everyone to stay on premises, but it worked out great. I think that 20/22 rooms were from our party. Other guests stayed in nearby condos and villas, and some stayed downtown.

I think that the Cabo Surf is an ideal location if you want that villa kind of atmosphere but without the hassle of actually renting a villa. if you have any other questions or want to see any additional pics (other than the ones linked in my sig), please let me know.

Cheers!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
