what do I buy to clean my camera?

something like this? Amazon.com: Giottos Optical Cleaning Kit with Rocket Air Blaster, Brush & Liquid.: Electronics

    Something nicer?

Something complete different? I have no clue about this.

I should probably buy it locally to ensure I have it by next Saturday. One of the topics of my next class is cleaning our camera.

That kit from Amazon looks pretty good. Try not to use the liquid cleaner too much though. A good blast of air and some brushing are usually the best options to clean your camera.

Cleaning the sensor is basically an art though and should be undertaken with great care or potentially done by a professional dealing or by the camera company itself.

use the little rocket blaster to lightly puff air at the sensor but dont put the nozzle past the lens mount. when you are using it give the blaster a few pumps to get anything out of the nozzle that might be in there... plus try to do it in a fairly clean room so you dont just blow more dust into there. try and never touch your sensor if you can. as for the lens the finer the thread count the better. they have lots of lens cloths . use those. give it a little shake beofre wiping the lens. and dont press too hard
