Need help ladies

Hey ladies (and guys too), I need your help on some decorating ideas. I'm in the process redoing my living room. Below is Shelley's post with the pictures of my living room. (Thanks Shelley) The couch is facing the blue wall in the other picture. I'm looking for lamps (new end table, coffee table & chair are being delivered tomorrow) Which one of the below lamps do you think would look the best for the room? Or something all together different? (side note my new tables are dark brown with glass inserts)

Also, I'm looking for an accent color for the room, I was thinking either Red, Green or Orange. What are your thoughts? I'm taking a 1/2 day today to buy this stuff (no time this weekend) so would LOVE your help.

ok, i like the 3rd one but not w/ red...i also like the 2nd.

i'm thinking lime green, or a bright olive green - the middle of the candle that's on that shelf. i don't really like cornflower/royal blue w/ orange (reminds me of the mets, or other sports teams), and red and blue might look flag-ish...jmho

(however, i just asked my sister and w/o seeing the pics, she said she'd prob pic red or orange....)

Hmmmm what about a dark brown for an accent color? I may be obsessed with dark brown but I think it would look nice especially if you're new tables are brown.

I do like the idea of a dark rustic orange too. Like this?Click the image to open in full size.

And I really like the first link to the lamps!

I'm partial to green myself, but I do really like the red lamps. Those would really stick out where the 1st or 2nd lamps would just blend in with the couch. Those couches look super comfy BTW.

Good luck and be sure to post pics when it is all done!

I like the last lamp, but I agree I would do a different shade colour...the blue is a primary, and when you pair it with another primary colour (like red) it ends up looking more sports themed...or kids room... I would go with a muddy orange to tie the room together...jmho

If you did a bright/lime green color it would work well. I don't think an olive green would stick out as much, but it would still look nice.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
