I am finally getting my date set for the VIM, but I'm worried about sending the deposit since I haven't really seen a contract. I've been emailing Ariadna and she's been very helpful, but I was wondering if any of you got something written saying when your date was, how much things were going to be, etc. Should I just send the deposit and assume the contract will come after that? How has it worked out for you guys?

We just reserve our date for April 4th at the Valentin Imprial Maya. I was a little nervous too about sending over my information w/o a contract or a lot of details, but it seems to be the norm. She's been very helpful and re-assured me that she would send a receipt after the payment was processed. Let me know how it goes!

Girls, can you please help? Does anyone know if the Valentin only accepts special photographers? I have emailed the WC there a few days ago and haven't received anything back. If this is the case, I need to find some where else b/c I have already put a deposit down for our photographers. :-(

I've hired an outside photographer for my wedding at the Valentin. They do allow it, but there is a fee, I think $300.

Dayla-no, it didn't. I've been in contact with her since July, and she has always been very prompt. Are you in contact with Lupita or Ariadna? Ariadna is by far the better one to work with, if you have the choice.
