Valentin Imperial Maya Brides?

Recommended Posts

Ladies,

Thank you so much for this thread :). I just put my deposit down on the VIM for a wedding on December 12, 2009! It has been a LONG journey to find this place and I'm so happy that I'm here. And I'm even happier that there are other VIM brides to share with! I'm new to the site (just joined two nights ago) but I have already read this entire thread. I visited the VIM last August for a quick site visit and it really was pretty and they were so anxious to please. I have TONS of pix from out site visit that I am happy to share. I need to learn how to post them, but won't be able to do so until the weekend. Until then, just wanted to say hi and thanks and say how happy I am to know you gals are out there!

Okay, I couldn't figure out how to post pix, so I'm giving you the link to my wedding website. The website is still under construction but here at the pix from the site visit. Some of the labels might be off on the room categories, but you get the drift. I hope they help! Let me know if you have questions.

JLRJEN, thanks for the pics! Every time I see pics I just can't wait to be there!

**Question, anyone get good info on their available center pieces? or what comes on the table with the package?

**We got a confirmation for the minister and it stated we had the minister, would confirm exact time when we arrive but would request 5:00. The whole request 5:00 makes me a bit nervous, anyone else experience this?

Soon to be Powers: I haven't heard anything about the centerpieces. Also, no idea about the minister..we are not using one so it isn't even a question of mine.

Cant' wait....
Hailadam, if you are not using a minister who are you using? or are you bringing your own person?

Hailadam,

I didn't think it would be a minister marrying us for our symbolic wedding either. We had originally asked for 6:00 (that was 3 wedding planner ago) and they said yes. Then we decided we wanted it to be at 5:00 so we asked for the change. They then told us the minister wasn't even confirmed yet and that they were going to get on that right away. We then got a confirmation regarding the minister and in the slot for time it stated something like, finalize upon arrival (request 5:00).

It makes me a bit nervous because I want to make programs, with the correct times!

Hi Guys! We are deciding on a couple of adults-only resorts for our Nov. 2009 wedding. and Valentin is in the running. I've hears so many great things about it. We want a gazebo wedding but i haven't seen very many pictures of the Valentin gazebo. Does anyone have an information about it? Where it's located and how the procession to be to get to it? Would it fit 40-50 guests?

Thank you!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
