Valentin Imperial Maya Brides?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have had a lot of contact with Lupita (the WC) at the Valentine. It was Guillermo but he has now moved into another area of the resort. They seem to have a lot of problems with their internet and email (I have a few friends that live outside the states and this is normal for them, so I think it may be normal).

I would try calling the phone number on the website. The one that says from the United States. When they answer just asked for Lupita in Weddings. It took me 2 times to get her, the first time they said she was not in. The person who answers the phone typically does not speak English but Lupita does and is very nice. They just had a wedding for 115 people this past weekend and are planning one for 250 in November, needless to say they are very busy.

Just to let you know you will need to fax them you ID and a credit card in order to put down a deposit and get a confirmation.

Hope this helps.

**I have a few friends who are there right now! Hopefully I can get copies of their photos and I will post them!

Good luck!

Hello ladies!

I have been reading a lot of reviews about the Valentin Imperial and was wondering if any of the brides who have been married there have pictures! Or if any of these who did the site visits have pictures, could you please send them to cdaubermont@gmail.com?

I (like I'm sure most of you!) have been having such a hard time finding "the perfect" resort that is also within the budget for our guests! Any information/advice/recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Claudette

Thanks soon2bePowers.

Unfortunately, we won't be having our wedding at the Valentin because we have one 3 year old that will be attending the wedding, and she is not allowed at the resort. I was so dissapointed when I found that out because we were pretty much set on this place! sad.gif

Claudette, look at traveller's pics on tripadvisor, they usually have good ones there.

Hi all. i am so excited to see that other brides love the Valentin! Im trying to decide between this resort a couple others, but I seem to be leaning towards the Valentin. I do have a few questions for anyone who can help!!! I was wondering if they decorate the reception, or do you have to bring your own? Also what is their policy on outside vendors? We want to hire an outside photographer, and I know some resorts dont allow it. If anyone has any pictures of their wedding they would be willing to share, could you email them to me @ triskaread@yahoo.com

I look forward to hearing all future posts from this resort bunny_4.gif

They do decorate the reception for you depending on which wedding package you purchase. There are several nice places on the resort you can choose for your reception. This all depends on how many guests you will be having. For a smaller group the gazebo is very nice and for a bit larger the terrace is absolutely beautiful with a fountain in the middle! I did a site visit back in July and fell in love with this place!

They do allow outside vendors including an outside photographer, you just need to pay as if they were a guest - $100 which is very reasonable since some other resorts I know charge $400.

For any future Valentin Brides out there who would like to use the chapel for a Catholic wedding I have very good news! My WC Guadalupe sent me an email a few weeks ago and I would like to share it with you all!

"I am very pleased to inform you that Father Bernard who officiates the weddings her with us has given us the OK to have masses here in the year 2009. Our little chapel is now more than ready for your coming event. I hope we can continue your plan to get married here"

So if you are planning for a religious ceremony for your wedding I highly recommend this place! I searched all the resorts in the Mayan Riviera which had on-site chapels and this by far is the most beautiful one in my opinion!

Good luck ladies and to Amyrak: I know your wedding is coming up very quickly....I would like to wish you a beautiful most memorable wedding!!!

Hello Cabobride 10

In response to your question, I spoke to Guadalupe the WC regarding having guests under the age of 18 just attend the reception and she informed me that it is not allowed. Perhaps you can speak to a manager and see if an exception can be made.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
