Thanks, hoyt! I really appreciate it-I feel much better about printing up menus now. I love tres leches cake, but my fiance is a chocoholic, too, so we're doing one layer tres leches and one layer chocolate. I'm so happy that Ariadna's letting us do that!

Also, just an fyi for other brides, the Valentin wedding dinner menu has been updated-Ariadna sent me the new one a few weeks ago. It's nice because now you can choose one of each course instead of being locked into one entire menu:

I know for sure that Ariadna is still there because I'm working with her right now. I don't know about Lupita, but you may want to count yourself lucky that you're not working with her-people haven't had good things to say about her on this thread.

Lupita was great once we got to the resort! But before we go there, not so great at all, lol. Lupita is a really sweet person, but she doesn't like to budge on a lot until you get there. She's not so bad in person.

No you'll be fine! I was so nervous about the whole dw thing and the lack of communication, but once we got down there, I felt so silly for thinking that way. Honestly, except for the little personal touches, everything can be taken care of once you get down there. And the wc make you feel very comfortable and like you're they're queen once you get there.

I would love to see your pics of the chapel and any other you wish to share. Do you recommend a space for cocktail hour??

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
