Valentin Imperial Maya Brides?

Recommended Posts

Hola! We're getting married at the VIM this Saturday, and I hope that all is going well with you.

Heidilynn - Contact with the VIM is very sparse and downright terrible at some points. In the months prior our our wedding contact with the wc was virtually nonexistant. BUT now once we got within a month of our wedding that all changed. She is now very easy to email and get a hold of whenever I need to, and she's been very nice and helpful. I'm sure it will get even better once we arrive.

I also found the lack of communicaiton in those months very frustrating; however, I think we all need to remember that these people are very busy with more current events. It really makes sense becuase their's so much that can be done in the month before your wedding and even more can be done once you get there.

If you need any information about this resort don't hesitate to ask. I have all the menu options, spa services w/ prices, bouquet pictures, wedding/reception setup pics, and so much more that she has sent me in the past month.

I will be posting my review when we get back. We leave on April 1st!!! YAY!!!

My FI and I are getting married in May 2011, cant decide between the Valentin and two other resorts. We love everything about the VIM except the beach looks alittle ruff and finding pics of the reception sites has been difficult. For any gals that have been to VIM did the beach dissapoint? And does anyone have any reception pics to share?

I was at the Valentin last June, and I thought the beach was really lovely. There's a swimming side, and a non-swimming side. The swimming side is rock-free. I believe they do the beach ceremonies in the non-swimming side, where there are rocks and coral. I haven't been to any other beaches in the Riviera Maya, so I really can't compare.

Graciela posted her pictures a while ago on this thread. Here is her link (hopefully she won't mind if I re-post)-there are some great pictures of the Mexican Terrace as a reception area.

Hi ladies,

We got married here last Saturday and it was magnificient! I'll be writing my review sometime this week.

If you're on the fence about getting married here, don't be! It really is the most beautiful resort in the maya.

Missy - the water is a little rough, but it's because the VIM doesn't put sand bags out. If you want smooth water then you'll probably be at a resort w/ big ugly sand bags to block the waves.

I'll let y'all know when I post my review and I'll make sure that it has tons of pics. I know you're all nervous about this place, but we had a fantastic time and everything went very very well. If you can't be pleased at this resort then you're just impossible.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
