Ok, so that is a silly thread title, but I don't know what they are called. My friend Roe had a wedding book made and the pages are really thick and hard and the pages open flat. I want to make/order one for our parents as a gift, but am having trouble even figuring out what they are called! Has anyone ordered these? From where? How much? Is there a place that would let you design it youself and then print it? Not sure if I would wnat to do that, but it doesn't hurt to ask!

Carly, they're called flush-mount albums.

I have done extensive research on different album companies, and so far this is the only one I've found where brides can actually order them: Welcome to The Wedding Experts - BridesIncorporated.com. The books aren't as high-end as others I've seen, but for all the other companies you either have to be a photographer or designer to be able to order.

do you know how their bind only set up is? I was looking for a place that had the metallic paper like mpix (i got my prints & I love it). This could be an option. I wonder how the pages turn out.

Must submit print for book binding. Your prints must be the same size of the album ordered, ie. 10x10 10 page book needs 20 10x10 prints. Send your prints along with a copy of your recepit via mail. After your order is placed, an email is automatically sent with mailing instructions.

Such a supportive group here, aren'tcha. Giving props to each other.

I reallllly want to do these books for our parents, but we are trying to buy a house and have like NO money, so I was hoping that there was a place that no one knew about for a way less price.

I don't want to give them the regular books, I wanted the fancy flush-mount. But I think I can't afford it right now and that sucks big time!

But Sarah, I never did forget about you, I actually saved your PM's from before in case I decided to use someone, it would def be you (unless I found a crazy cheap price somewhere else!)

Josh, just a friendly reminder that vendors are not allowed to solicit. If you have information that can be shared with all brides, feel free to post in this thread. However, PMing a member to solicit can get you banned...consider it a warning.

I'm pretty sure there is no way to do flush mount cheaply.

shutterfly, Gift Certificates items on eBay.com

The cheapest way is to get a book is to buy shutterfly or snapfish codes on ebay. They are not flush mount & don't have the thick pages, but it's a lot cheaper. Not the same quality, but if the flush mount are not in your budget atleast it's something. This is what i'm doing for our family. I want to get the flush mount book of my dreams for myself, but it might not be in my budget either. I'm barely starting to price it.

there are some that you can slip in the pages. they run about $50. There are also some with adhesive where you stick on the pages. I don't know about either of these options.

The slip in ones would have a mat around them, so you couldn't do pictures that spread across the pages. I prefer the look of self-mount.

I'm not as concerned with the quality of the book. I want to print on nice paper so the pictures look great. If the book won't last a lifetime I can always reorder it. The prints would need to be something that doesn't get finger prints though...hmm lots to look at.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
